Top DFS Value Picks for NFL Week 4
Top DFS Value Picks for NFL Week 4
Heading into Week 4, we have some excellent DFS value picks that can bring a lot of bang for your buck.
With some favorable matchups and key injuries impacting workloads, these players have a strong potential upside for fantasy points at fairly modest prices.
These four players covering all of the major positions should squeeze out every bit of fantasy effort from your salary.
Jayden Daniels — Washington Commanders — QB
- Salary: $6.5k
- Projected Fantasy Points: 22.2
- Value: 3.42
Jayden Daniels is off to a fantastic start in his rookie season, and his most recent performance against the Bengals was nothing short of stellar. He definitely went above and beyond of what we projected him at.
He threw for 254 yards, completed 23 out of 25 passes, and added two touchdowns through the air. As a dual-threat quarterback, Daniels adds tremendous DFS value with his ability to pick up points on the ground, as he showed by rushing for a touchdown last game. If you can’t tell, we love dual threat QBs when it comes to DFS. These guys are like fantasy-point-making machines.
Washington faces an Arizona defense in Week 4 that has been better against the pass but remains middle-of-the-pack overall. They rank 17th in total defense.
The Cardinals have been leaky against mobile quarterbacks, which gives Daniels the opportunity to break off some big plays with his legs. His accuracy and efficiency through the first three weeks make him a solid pick at his price, especially considering the upside his rushing ability brings.
With his affordable salary and clear role as the centerpiece of Washington’s offense, Daniels is an excellent option for DFS lineups this week.
Rashee Rice — Kansas City Chiefs — WR
- Salary: $7.3k
- Projected Fantasy Points: 19.2
- Value: 2.80
After stepping up in Week 3, Rashee Rice has yet again solidified his role as Kansas City’s top receiving option.
His chemistry with Patrick Mahomes is growing, and his 12-catch, 121-yard performance against the Falcons showcased his potential. Rice has found the end zone twice this season and topped 100 yards twice in three games. He’s quickly becoming a staple for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs will be facing the Chargers’ defense, which has been tough on wide receivers, allowing the fifth-fewest receptions to the position so far. Despite this, Rice’s projected volume in a high-powered offense makes him a great DFS option.
With Travis Kelce starting slow and Rice taking on more of the downfield work, he’s set for another strong outing. We have no reason to think he’ll slow down heading into Week 4.
Rice may not have the easiest matchup, but his talent, volume, and growing role in the Chiefs’ offense make him a must-consider value pick for Week 4.
Jordan Mason — San Francisco 49ers — RB
- Salary: $6.7k
- Projected Fantasy Points: 20.2
- Value: 3.01
Jordan Mason continues to thrive as the lead back for the 49ers while Christian McCaffrey is sidelined. In fact, he made out list last week for some of the best value in the league.
Last week, Mason racked up 77 rushing yards on 19 carries and added two receptions for 11 yards. His steady workload has been key. He’s averaged over 100 rushing yards per game since stepping in for McCaffrey. Those are some big shoes to fill and he’s doing just fine.
The Patriots’ defense will present a tougher challenge this week, as they rank fifth in the league in rushing yards allowed (83 per game) and yards per carry (3.7).
But Mason’s heavy usage still makes him a reliable DFS option.
The 49ers’ commitment to the run game, combined with Mason’s ability to churn out tough yards, means he’ll have plenty of opportunities to rack up FP..
At $6.7k, Mason’s value remains fairly strong despite the tougher matchup. With a secure role and the potential to break some big plays, Mason should be locked into your DFS lineup.
Brock Bowers — Las Vegas Raiders — TE
- Salary: $5.6k
- Projected Fantasy Points: 12.5
- Value: 2.23
Brock Bowers didn’t have the performance many DFS managers were hoping for in Week 3, but he remains an intriguing value pick at tight end.
After his breakout game against the Ravens in week 2, he managed just 3 catches for 41 yards against the Panthers in Week 3. That’s somewhat of a setback, but don’t let it cloud his value.
While Tre Tucker and other wideouts saw more volume in the Raiders’ comeback effort, Bowers still played nearly 68% of the snaps.
Heading into Week 4, Bowers faces a Cleveland Browns defense that has allowed just 10 receptions to tight ends through three games. They haven’t given up a touchdown to the position yet, but Bowers remains second on the team in targets.
His involvement in the offense and the Raiders’ reliance on him in certain situations make him worth taking a chance on, especially if you’re looking to save salary at tight end.
While Bowers’ ceiling might be capped by the matchup, his low cost and consistent snap share still give him some DFS appeal.
