BetMGM Is Splitting $500,000 in Bonus Bets Every Time the US Scores at the World Cup

BetMGM rolled out its 2026 FIFA World Cup promotional lineup on June 4, and the headliner is a promotion called the Goal Rush Grand Prize that will distribute $500,000 in bonus bets among eligible customers for every goal scored by the United States men’s national team during the tournament. The promotion begins June 11, when the World Cup opens, and requires a pre-match qualifying wager of $5 or more on a US match.

Bonus bets awarded through the Goal Rush offer are non-withdrawable and expire within seven days of being credited. The offer is not available in Ontario or Puerto Rico, and standard terms apply. For bettors already on the BetMGM platform, the promotion automatically applies to qualifying wagers placed before US matches — no separate opt-in is required beyond placing the eligible bet.

Other BetMGM World Cup Features

BetMGM is also running its 2-Up Early Payout promotion for soccer during the World Cup. Under that offer, customers who place a pre-game straight match result wager will be paid out as a winner the moment their selected team takes a two-goal lead at any point during the match, with no need to wait for the final whistle. That offer provides insurance for bettors who have a lead but are nervous about a potential late collapse.

The company is launching a free-to-play game called Tim Howard’s Penalty Kick Shootout beginning June 11, available daily in the BetMGM Sportsbook app. The game features US soccer icon and BetMGM brand ambassador Tim Howard and does not require a real-money wager to participate. Two new casino game titles featuring Howard are also being added to BetMGM’s roster as part of the broader World Cup product push.

In partnership with Marriott Bonvoy, BetMGM is offering linked account holders the chance to win a VIP trip to New York City for Sports Illustrated’s Beyond the Pitch party. Entries are earned through qualifying wagers placed through June 21, with winners selected weekly.

World Cup Betting Is Expected to Be Record-Breaking

The 2026 World Cup is the first to be co-hosted in the United States, with venues spread across 16 American cities. With more states than ever offering legal sports betting and the US team playing on home soil for the first time in a World Cup, soccer wagering is expected to reach new highs. A May 2026 consumer survey found that 43 percent of US adults who planned to watch the tournament said they were at least somewhat likely to bet on the matches.

New customers can find the current welcome offer details on the BetMGM promo code page. Existing users should check the Promotions section of the BetMGM app to confirm their eligibility for the Goal Rush and 2-Up offers before the June 11 start. With the US set to open group play on June 12 against Trinidad and Tobago, there will be opportunities to cash in on the Goal Rush promotion early if the team scores as expected.
