Best Underdog NBA Player Props for Thursday, February 22: Is Tatum Primed for a Big Night?

Best Underdog NBA Player Props for Thursday, February 22

Happy Thursday, everyone! FINALLY. The NBA is back in action after what felt like an eternity. Yes, the All-Star Game provided slight theatrics, but the majority of NBA fans are looking forward to their regularly scheduled programming, especially since the NFL is no longer in season.

The NBA decided to be gracious to fans across the country, giving us a 12-game slate on the first night back. With that said, there are a lot of great matchups tonight, and to celebrate, we’re going to go over our six favorite player props for the evening. All of these can be found on Underdog, so let’s get into it!

Buddy Hield OVER 16.5 Points

Being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers might have been the best thing for Buddy Hield’s NBA career. He has played in four games for the 76ers thus far, and he has scored at least 20 points in each game, with his highest total coming against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Hield has proven to play well against some of the best teams in the East, which is why we’re taking the over on his point total tonight, even though he’s facing the New York Knicks.

Evan Mobley OVER 27.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists

Evan Mobley’s PRA has been one of our favorite bets over the past several weeks. He has achieved at least 28 PRA in five of his last seven games, an indication of how strong is is playing recently.

With the Cavaliers rolling, and a big matchup with the Orlando Magic tonight, we have confidence in Mobley to respect this line and hammer the over.

Tyrese Haliburton OVER 12 Assists

This might seem lazy, but Haliburton has been an assist king all year. He has achieved 12 assists in his past three games, and while we would like this line to be 11.5 instead of 12, we are still confident he can hit 13 tonight.

Haliburton is back to full health, and after his 32-point performance in the All-Star Game, we believe he’s ready to contribute at 100% healthy tonight against the Detroit Pistons.

Grayson Allen OVER 10.5 Points

For whatever reason, Grayson Allen loves playing against the Dallas Mavericks. He has played in ten games against them in his career, and he has averaged 13.9 points in those games.

The Phoenix Suns have already faced the twice Mavericks this season, where he scored 32 and 15 points, respectively. Look for Allen to greatly achieve the over on his line tonight, hitting at least 11 points in this game.

Jayson Tatum OVER 27 Points

Jayson Tatum is already being crowned as the league MVP in the public eye, and there are still several weeks to go in the season. He continues to be one of the best players in the league.

Considering this is the first night back for him and the Boston Celtics, we think he will want to make a big impression. Look for Tatum to come out in full force tonight, putting together a 30+ point performance.

Collin Sexton OVER 20.5 Points

Nothing wrong with ole’ reliable for our last pick of the night. Collin Sexton continues to be a scoring machine, and the last several times we have recommended his over, he has hit.

Even though Underdog bumped his line up to 20.5 points tonight, we still like Sexton’s chances of scoring 21 against the Charlotte Hornets.
