Best Player Prop Bets for CFB Week 7
This weekend’s college football slate should provide some fantastic action. There are four games between ranked teams, and several other ranked teams have tough matchups.
This is a crucial point in the year for teams that are looking to make a run at the College Football title. A loss is not an option, especially for the teams that are currently ranked in the top 10.
We’ve looked up and down the slate for the best available player props, and we’ve compiled our three favorites from this weekend’s action. All three of these props can be found on Underdog. Let’s get after this slate with confidence!
Michael Penix Jr. UNDER 357.5 Passing Yards
Michael Penix has put together an incredible season. Not only has he played well enough for Washington to be ranked seventh in the country, but he has also shot up in draft boards. He’s firmly in the Heisman race, and many believe he might go in the first round of next year’s draft.
Before we go on and on about Penix’s future, let’s talk about this game with Oregon. While Penix has thrown for over 358 yards in four of five games this year, he hasn’t played a team of Oregon’s defensive caliber.
Oregon allows just 11.8 points per game on the year and has allowed just 153.6 passing yards per game as well. We expected Penix’s line to be closer to 320 yards, so the fact that his total is nearly 360 yards is even better.
Oregon’s strong defense should prove to be too much for Penix in this one, throwing for less than 357.5 yards this week.
Caleb Williams OVER .5 Rushing & Receiving Touchdowns
Similarly to Michael Penix, Caleb Williams has done nothing but raise his draft stock throughout this college football season. He has proven to be a lethal passer who can also get it done on the ground. This was put on full display last week, as Williams rushed for three touchdowns against Arizona.
We really like Williams’ chances to rush for a touchdown this week against Notre Dame. Notre Dame is a tough out, and USC will need to pull out all the stops to come away with a win.
Look for USC’s game plan to include some rushing attempts for Williams, which will likely include a touchdown on the ground. Plus, Underdog has given us a 1.25x boost on this one, the perfect opportunity for us to cash on this one with extra money in our pockets! We checked out other sites such as Vivid Picks, but didn’t see anything like this boost.
J.J. McCarthy OVER 221.5 Passing Yards
Our three favorite props revolve around some of the nation’s best quarterbacks. J.J. McCarthy is certainly among them, as he has been nothing short of spectacular this season.
Michigan is the No. 2 ranked team in the country for a reason, and McCarthy is certainly a big part of their success. This week, we expect him to pass for at least 250 yards against the University of Indiana.
McCarthy and this Michigan team need to keep their foot on the gas, and facing off against an unranked Indiana squad is the perfect time to do that.
