Best NBA Player Props for Monday, January 22: Look for Ball to Keep Dishing Out Assists

Happy Monday! After an exciting weekend of NFL playoffs, we are excited for a nice eight-game slate of NBA action tonight. A few marquee games are tipping off, including a highly anticipated matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics.

We look forward to how some of the game’s brightest stars will perform tonight and have put together our favorite player props from Underdog to supplement our viewing pleasure. Let’s begin!

Joel Embiid UNDER 34.5 Points

It’s no secret that Joel Embiid has been one of the best players in the NBA this season. He has continued his dominant ways on the glass and can seemingly score at will, putting in bucket after bucket to help out this Philadelphia 76ers squad.

He is well on his way to being the league’s MVP again if he keeps these numbers up throughout the year. While all this is true, we’re faced with the fact that the 76ers are playing one of the worst teams in the NBA.

They face off against the San Antonio Spurs tonight, a game that will likely be a blowout. We expect Embiid to be out of the game by early in the fourth quarter, giving him limited opportunities to score. Considering that, we’re taking the under on his point total tonight.

LaMelo Ball OVER 6 Assists

This line seems too low for LaMelo against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Yes, the Timberwolves are one of the best teams in the NBA, but Ball has achieved over seven assists in every game he has faced them in his career.

The Hornets might find themselves behind early in this one, resulting in them needing to put up a lot of points in the second half. Look for Ball to be a massive contributor in their scoring efforts, assisting his teammates at least six times to cash this over!

Kristaps Porzingis OVER 18.5 Points

Kristaps Porzingis has been on a tear lately. He has put up 32 and 21 points in his last two games and looks to carry that momentum into the Boston Celtics’ matchup with the Dallas Mavericks tonight.

It might be recency bias, but we don’t think this big man is going anywhere soon. Look for KP to have another big night where he scores 20+ points.
