Bengals at Jaguars: Best Bets for Monday Night Football

Week 13 of the NFL regular season wraps up with the Bengals taking on the Jaguars on Monday Night Football. Jacksonville is playing some solid football of late, but Cincy has been the victim of bad injury luck.

Can the Bengals pull off an upset without Joe Burrow? Check out our best bets for Monday Night Football below. Thanks for reading and good luck with your action!

The Bengals are coming off a 16-10 loss to the Steelers which created their 1st losing streak of the season. Having lost Joe Burrow for what looks like the rest of the season, Jake Browning will get another start despite his wrist injury.

Browning was decent in his 1st start completing 73% of his passes, but the Bengals could not get any type of run game going. Mixon finished with just 16 yards on 8 carries. At this point, the Bengals have little aspirations of the postseason but they are still alive in that race.

Jacksonville has won 7 of their last 8 games with the latest being a 24-21 road win over Houston. Lawrence outdueled Stroud as he threw for over 360 yards and stayed clean by not getting sacked. Both Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk finished with 89 yards.

This could be a bit of a trap game for the Jags. They go on the road next week to face the 7-4 Browns and could very well be overlooking these struggling Bengals. That is what we are expecting and why we are playing Cincy and the points in this one.

Key Trends:

  • Cincy is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games played on a Monday when playing on the road.
  • Cincy is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games against an opponent in the AFC.
  • Jax is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games.
  • Jax is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games when playing as the favorite.

MNF Props

Travis Etienne TD -120

  • The Bengals are tied for 8th most rushing TDs allowed this season.
  • Etienne is due, after scoring 7 TDs in 4 games, he has not found the endzone in his last 3 games.

Jake Browning UNDER 34.5 Yards Longest Completion -110

  • Browning is more of a checkdown QB right now as he is getting eased into the offense.
  • Last game his longest was 39 yards but that came on a wide-open screen pass.

Evan McPherson OVER 1.5 FGs -110

  • McPherson has made 2 or more FGs in 2 of his last 3 games.
