3 Player Prop Bets for Devils vs. Hurricanes Game 2

The Devils and Hurricanes are only one game into their 1st-round series, but it’s already clear this one could easily go the distance and find its way to Game 7.

Carolina came out with a strong Game 1 win 4-1, but the Devils had their chances and showed some flashes of offense; obviously not enough to get the job done. However, these are 2 skilled teams with depth, speed, and plenty of scoring talent — which makes the player prop bets an exciting place to look for value in Game 2.

We’ve locked down 3 of the best player props for Devils vs. Hurricanes and we’re pretty sure you’re going to love what we’ve found.

Player Prop Odds
Jesper Bratt Over 0.5 Assists -110
Andrei Svechnikov Over 0.5 Points -115
Logan Stankoven Anytime Goalscorer +330

Jesper Bratt Over 0.5 Assists

  • Player Prop Odds: -110

Bratt was a consistent playmaker all season — and that’s continuing into the postseason. He’s recorded an assist in 5 straight games against the Hurricanes, and with 67 assists on the season and a helper already in the postseason, he’s the clear setup man on this Devils team.

Bratt also racked up 30 power-play assists, which matters because the Hurricanes are undoubtedly aggressive but also fairly prone to giving up special teams chances. Carolina allowed 40 power-play goals this season and was middle of the pack in time shorthanded. That’s a lot of opportunity for Bratt to get something moving.

At 18:56 TOI per game, Bratt gets solid ice time, especially on the top unit. This isn’t a fluke prop, either as it’s backed by usage, role, and a track record of results against this team.

The price is right for a proven playmaker to keep doing what he does best and we’re surely not going to pass this one up. The bookmakers are insulting him with these odds.

Andrei Svechnikov Over 0.5 Points

  • Player Prop Odds: -115

Svechnikov may not be a household name like Aho or Jarvis on the lineup, but he’s been one of the most consistent playoff performers on home ice for Carolina. He’s tallied at least one point in each of his last 6 home playoff games which includes a goal against the Devils in Game 1, and he’s producing in high-leverage spots.

Even with some missed time this season, Svechnikov still posted a decent 48 points in 72 games which includes 28 helpers. He’s skating on a line that’s dangerous in transition and sees plenty of offensive-zone starts. His 17:06 average TOI might not jump off the page, but his impact is immediate when he’s on the ice. After his outing last night, we could even see that bump up into the 19 minute range.

The Devils allow a fair number of shots at 26.4 per game and have struggled defensively at times, especially against Carolina’s cycle.

Svechnikov doesn’t even need much to make his mark — a primary/secondary assist or rebound goal is more than enough to do the trick on this one.

With a tight line at -115, this is a prop that brings both a bit of value and mixed with some reliability.

Logan Stankoven Anytime Goalscorer

  • Player Prop Odds: +330

If you’re looking for a high-upside plus-money prop, Logan Stankoven is the pick you’ll want to go with.

At +330, you’re banking on a breakout moment from a player who’s already heating up in the postseason. He’s scored in 4 of the Hurricanes’ last 5 home games, and had 2 goals in their last game against the Devils! His confidence is showing.

Stankoven isn’t seeing top-line minutes with 15:03 TOI, but he’s making them count and after lighting the lamp twice on Sunday, he might see some more action tonight. With 9 points in 19 games, including 5 goals, he’s proven he can finish when given the chance to do so. He’s also on the 2nd power-play unit, that’s where he got one of his goals the other night, and his wrist shot is one of the more underrated tools on this roster.

In a playoff game where the Devils will be focused on shutting down Aho and Jarvis, Stankoven could sneak in with yet another key goal from the slot or off a rebound.

At +330, there’s simply too much value to pass up for a player who’s already found the net consistently at home.

Big Bets on these Big Props

Game 2 is shaping up to be another close one, but that’s exactly where smart player prop betting can shine. You just have to find the key metrics and see how these players are doing.

Jesper Bratt’s playmaking, Svechnikov’s point production at home, and Stankoven’s sneaky scoring touch all stand out as top spots heading into Monday night’s big game.

And these aren’t just shots in the dark — they’re all supported by recent form, strong usage, and matchup trends that give you the edge to notch some wins on your bet slip for tonight.
