2026 NFL Draft Betting Guide: Best Bets, Prop Markets, and the Pick Nobody Agrees On

The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off tonight in Pittsburgh, and while the #1 pick is a lock, everything after it is wide open.
Fernando Mendoza

The 2026 NFL Draft is here. Round 1 kicks off tonight in Pittsburgh, and if you are looking for betting opportunities, there is actually quite a bit of action beyond the obvious. The top pick is essentially decided, but the next handful of selections are creating genuine drama — and genuine value for sharp bettors who have been paying attention.

The #1 Pick: A Bet That Barely Pays

Fernando Mendoza, the quarterback out of Indiana, is going #1 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders at odds of -20000. To put that in perspective: a $2,000 bet on Mendoza to go first gets you back just $10 in profit. That is not a bet — that is just paying for a parking spot.

Mendoza earned this moment. He led Indiana to a 16-0 national championship, won the Heisman Trophy, and threw for 3,535 yards and 41 touchdowns in 2025. He is the most decorated college quarterback prospect in years, and nobody seriously disputes that he is the right call. Skip this one and focus your money elsewhere.

The Real Drama Starts at #2

The New York Jets hold the second pick, and this is where things get genuinely interesting. With Quinnen Williams and Jermaine Johnson both traded away, New York desperately needs pass rush help — and two names have been trading places at the top of the board all week.

David Bailey, a defensive end out of Texas Tech, currently sits at -175 to go to the Jets. Arvell Reese, a hybrid edge/linebacker out of Ohio State, is at +135. The market has been volatile: as recently as Tuesday morning, Reese was the favorite at -260. By Tuesday afternoon it had flipped to Bailey at -175. The daily movement tells you something — nobody in New York is tipping their hand, and the market is reacting to every whisper.

Bailey is described as a twitched-up pass rusher with instinctive finishing skills. Reese is the more physically imposing prospect at 6’4″ and 241 pounds, with 6.5 sacks and 69 tackles in 2025, a 4.47 forty, and a physical profile that draws comparisons to Micah Parsons. Both are legitimate fits. At -175, Bailey is not cheap, but the market has pointed consistently in his direction over the last 48 hours, and the Jets’ need for an immediate pass rush upgrade is real.

Jeremiyah Love and a Potential History-Making Pick

Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love has been one of the most interesting names to watch in draft betting all week. Love ran for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns in just 12 games in 2025, won the Doak Walker Award, and ran a 4.36 forty at the combine. If he goes top-5 tonight, he would be the first running back drafted in the top five since Saquon Barkley went second overall in 2018. That context has not been lost on the betting markets.

The Tennessee Titans hold the fourth pick, and Love is the -135 favorite to land there — a dramatic move from +150 just over a week ago. Bailey is a distant +400 option at that spot, with Sonny Styles of Ohio State at +600. At pick three with the Cardinals, Love checks in at +280 behind Reese (+150) and Bailey (+170), though Tennessee remains the far more logical destination.

The most useful Love bet may be his draft position over/under, set at 4.5. The over — meaning he goes fifth or later — is -135, and the under is +105. Given the momentum behind a Titans selection, the over offers reasonable value. But the most direct play is Tennessee to actually draft Love at -105: near-even money on a bet with clear market support.

Position Firsts Worth Knowing

Francis Mauigoa, an offensive tackle out of Miami, is priced at -210 to be the first offensive lineman taken. There is no credible challenger near the top of the board at that position, which makes this a dependable if unexciting bet. Mansoor Delane, a cornerback out of LSU, sits at -2000 to be the first corner off the board — a number that exists more as a signal than a betting opportunity.

Best Bets for Tonight

There are four spots worth considering as Round 1 gets underway. David Bailey to the Jets at #2 (-175) is the strongest short-price play on the board — the market has been consistent and the fit with New York is legitimate. Jeremiyah Love to the Titans (-105) is nearly even money on a move that has been building momentum all week. Love draft position over 4.5 (-135) gives you a slightly broader way to play the same thesis. And Mauigoa as the first offensive lineman (-210) rounds out the card if you want a spot you will not have to sweat.
