Dallas at Boston Betting Guide: 2 Player Props and a Best Bet for Game 1

Dallas at Boston 2 Player Props and a Best Bet for Game 1

It’s finally here: the NBA Finals. There are so many storylines with this matchup. Kyrie Irving going back to Boston, and Kristaps Porzingis heading back to Dallas are just two of the main headlines. This series could be a bloodbath and go all seven games.

Did anyone else forget about the Finals? It’s been over a week since we last had a basketball game, but let’s get back into it with three bets to look for in Game 1 on Thursday, June 6. Good luck, folks!

Best Bet: Celtics -2 (1st Quarter)

This one feels like you have to go with the home team to start the NBA Finals. It’s the first quarter, TD Garden will be rocking and the momentum has to start with the Celtics.

Going back to the regular season, both home teams in the season series won their respective first quarters with the Celtics leading by six in their home game. Boston is also getting back one of the key members of their starting lineup, Kristaps Porzingis, who has been missing since the first round of the playoffs.

Now he might be a factor to start the game but with the inability to double Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, the edge in Game 1 goes to the Celtics. They should cover this line first quarter and get us started with a win.

Boston Celtics’ Kristaps Porzingis UNDER 15.5 points

I think the books are truly making a mistake with this line. 16 points for your first game in over a month in the NBA Finals is a tall order. Porzingis is coming back to the lineup after the Celtics walked their way into the Finals.

Boston has gotten used to him being out of the rotation. It will take time for him to get back into rhythm. Porzingis is coming off a calf strain, so I don’t expect him to come right back and be a 20-ppg scorer, especially in the biggest game of the season.

Going back pre-injury, Porzingis did not record 16 points in three of the five games including one game in the 1st round against Miami where he scored 6 points. Once he gets back onto his feet and comfortable with that calf expect KP to go off, but first game? He’s going to be a little cautious. Go under 15.5.

Dallas Mavericks’ Kyrie Irving OVER 8.5 Rebounds and Assists

We had to go with a Kyrie Irving prop tonight. We stayed away from the points and went with rebounds and assists. This is his return to Boston.

The fans do not like Kyrie for breaking his promise to resign with the Celtics, burning sage on the court, and then stepping on Lucky. He is hated in Boston. Irving embraces the hate and we should look to see him go off.

Looking back at the Timberwolves series, Irving recorded over 8.5 RA in three of five games. Irving also has a history of performing well against the Celtics. In the playoff series in 2022. Irving cleared his over in all four games.

With the Celtics getting Porzingis back, he will impact the game more defensively than offensively. Irving will have fewer opportunities in the paint and will look to pass. Let’s go over!
