Canadiens vs. Maple Leafs Same Game Parlay: Suzuki Shots, Roslovic Points and the Over

The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday night, with puck drop set for 7:00 PM ET. Montreal arrives at 10-3-3 and has picked up a point in nine straight games, while Toronto sits at 8-7-2 after a 3-2 loss to Utah. That gap in form makes this a fun game to build a same game parlay around, especially if you are new to the idea.

A same game parlay (SGP) simply means combining several bets from one game into a single wager. Every leg has to hit for the ticket to cash, so the smartest approach for beginners is to pick legs that fit the same story. Here is a four-leg SGP for Canadiens at Maple Leafs that pays roughly +800 when you multiply the individual prices together. Combined SGP odds can differ by sportsbook, so check your own app before placing it.

Leg 1: Canadiens Moneyline (-115)

The moneyline is the easiest bet in hockey: pick the team that wins the game, overtime and shootout included. Montreal is a slight favorite at roughly -115 across most books, and the recent results back that up. The Canadiens are 7-3 over their last 10, 5-1-1 on the road this season, and they beat Toronto 3-2 in the season opener on September 29.

The goaltending matchup helps too. Jacob Fowler is expected to start for Montreal with a 6-0-1 record, a 2.38 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. Toronto’s Sergei Bobrovsky is expected in net at 3-6-2 with a 3.26 GAA and a .889 save percentage. Starters are confirmed on game day, so double-check before you bet.

Leg 2: Nick Suzuki Over 1.5 Shots on Goal (-270)

A shots on goal prop is a great starting point for newer bettors because you do not need a goal to win. You just need the player to put the puck on net. Suzuki, Montreal’s top center, has cleared 1.5 shots in 9 of his last 10 games and in all of his last five. He finished with four shots against Utah on Thursday.

The price is steep at around -270, which tells you the books expect him to get there. That is why it works as a safe anchor leg rather than a big-payout swing.

Leg 3: Jack Roslovic Over 0.5 Points (-125)

A point means a goal or an assist, so this leg gives Roslovic two ways to cash. He has been Toronto’s most productive forward lately, with eight goals and 10 assists on the season, and he scored twice in his last outing. He has hit this line in 8 of his last 10 games and in each of his last five, averaging 1.3 points over that stretch.

It might seem odd to include a Toronto player in a parlay that also backs Montreal to win. It actually makes sense: the Leafs are missing John Tavares and Kirill Marchenko, so Roslovic is seeing extra offensive responsibility, and he can still collect an assist even if the Canadiens win. If you want to see how prices like these stack up, the live NHL odds page is a handy reference.

Leg 4: Over 6.5 Total Goals (-113)

The total is the combined score of both teams. Over 6.5 means seven or more goals. The over has cashed in four straight Montreal games, and the Canadiens have averaged 3.8 goals over their last 10. Toronto has also leaned toward the over, going 5-2 to the over over its last seven outings. Montreal’s most recent game was a 5-4 win over Utah.

One caution: the under hit in the previous three Montreal and Toronto meetings, so this is the least certain leg of the four. It is also the one that can swing the whole ticket if the game opens up.

The Full Parlay

Here is the full four-leg SGP for Canadiens at Maple Leafs:

  • Canadiens moneyline (-115)
  • Nick Suzuki over 1.5 shots on goal (-270)
  • Jack Roslovic over 0.5 points (-125)
  • Over 6.5 total goals (-113)

Multiplying the individual prices lands near +800, so a $10 bet would return about $90 total if everything hits. Sportsbooks adjust SGP pricing because legs are related, so your actual number may be a bit lower. Before you bet, run the numbers in our betting calculator to see exactly what you stand to win.

The story we are betting on is simple: Montreal wins a higher-scoring game, Suzuki keeps firing pucks, and Roslovic adds a point for a Toronto team that needs offense. Keep your stake small, since parlays are higher risk by design, and only wager what you are comfortable losing.
