Monday Night Football closes out Week 6 with the Washington Commanders visiting the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC. San Francisco is a 7.5-point home favorite with the total sitting at 52.5, which points toward a game where the Niners control the scoreboard and Washington is forced to throw.

A one-game slate is a different puzzle than a main slate, because there are only so many viable bodies and every roster spot matters. These are our top NFL DFS picks for Monday Night Football, built around matchup, role and salary, using DraftKings and FanDuel pricing. Conditions look manageable, with a forecast near 63 degrees at kickoff, a 3% chance of rain and west-northwest winds around 13 mph. Check final inactives before lock, because Mike Evans and Stefon Diggs both carried questionable tags.

Brock Purdy, QB – San Francisco 49ers (DK $10,800 / FD $12,000)

Purdy is the cleanest play on the board. Through five games he has thrown for 1,196 yards and 13 touchdowns against just two interceptions, and he has not thrown fewer than two touchdowns in any game. His 119.3 passer rating leads the league, and he is averaging 8.4 yards per attempt despite throwing one of the lowest pass volumes in the NFL.

The matchup is the real kicker. Washington’s defense blitzes at the second-highest rate in the league, has allowed 14 passing touchdowns (tied for most), and gives up the second-most DraftKings points to opposing quarterbacks. Purdy also adds a little rushing equity, with at least 29 rushing yards in four of five games. Volume is the only concern, since he has topped 30 attempts just twice, but efficiency like this makes it easy to pay up in a Monday Night Football DFS build.

George Kittle, TE – San Francisco 49ers (DK $8,200 / FD $10,000)

Kittle looks fully recovered from last season’s Achilles injury, and he already has four touchdowns through five games while averaging just over four catches and 54 yards per contest. He has cleared 17 DraftKings points in three games with a high of 26.2.

His path to targets just got wider. Deebo Samuel has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, Evans is dealing with ribs and Achilles issues, and Washington has surrendered the second-most DraftKings points to tight ends. Against a defense that blitzes this often, Kittle should see plenty of one-on-one looks. He is one of the best MNF value plays at tight end for either site.

Jayden Daniels, QB – Washington Commanders (DK $10,000 / FD $11,200)

If you want exposure to the Commanders, Daniels is the first place to look because he touches everything Washington does. Last week he went 17-of-25 for 199 yards and rushed nine times for 103 yards and two touchdowns, good for 35.3 DraftKings points. That ceiling is why he belongs in the player pool.

The caution is that his passing numbers this season are modest, with 459 yards and three touchdowns, and a 100-yard rushing game is not a weekly expectation. Still, trailing by a touchdown or more is exactly the game script that pushes Daniels to scramble and throw. He makes a strong pivot for players who want to fade the heavily owned 49ers pieces. Rachaad White, RB – Washington Commanders (DK $6,600 / FD $5,600)

Jacory Croskey-Merritt, the team’s leading rusher, has been ruled out with a groin injury, which opens the backfield. White played 60% of the offensive snaps in Week 5 and led the group with 11 snaps on third down, though the production was thin at seven carries for 18 yards and one catch for two yards. He has yet to top eight carries in any appearance this season.

The appeal is role rather than recent output. Running backs have been productive against San Francisco in PPR scoring, White is a capable receiver, and the Commanders are likely to be chasing points, which favors a back who stays on the field in passing situations. He is far cheaper on FanDuel, where the $5,600 price tag makes him a stronger value play than at $6,600 on DraftKings.

Austin Ekeler, RB – Washington Commanders (DK $3,600)

Ekeler is the punt play. He played only six offensive snaps in Week 5, so this is a pure salary-saver pick, and his chest injury is worth monitoring since he has been limited in practice. The upside case is simple: with Croskey-Merritt out, a veteran pass-catching back at near-minimum price only needs a touchdown or a few receptions to pay off.

Treat Ekeler as a way to afford the premium pieces rather than a core play. If he is active and sees a bump in passing-down work, he gives you the salary relief to fit Purdy, Kittle and Daniels in the same roster.

Building Your Lineup

On DraftKings Showdown, Purdy and McCaffrey are the most popular captain options, so consider a contrarian captain such as Daniels or Kittle to separate from the field. Remember that captain costs 1.5 times salary, so a $10,800 flex becomes a $16,200 captain, and the roster has to fit under the $50,000 cap. A Purdy and Kittle stack makes sense because their production is tied together, and pairing it with a Daniels or White bring-back protects you if Washington keeps pace in a game with a total above 52.

Before lock, verify the status of Evans, Diggs and Ekeler, since each changes how targets and touches get distributed. These are our NFL DFS picks for tonight, and as always, play within your budget and enjoy the game.
