Knicks vs Pistons Betting Guide: 3 Player Props and Best Bet for Game 6

Knicks vs Pistons 3 Player Props and Best Bet for Game 6

The Eastern Conference semifinals are nearly set. The higher-seeded Cavs, Celtics, and Pacers have all punched their tickets, awaiting the winner of the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks.

New York was poised to advance, but the Pistons used a 6-0 run in the final minutes to break open a tied game and win on the road. Now, the Knicks will attempt to close out the series in Detroit inside the Little Caesars Arena.

After winning two road games earlier in the series, will the Knicks close out the Pistons with their third road win of the opening-round series? We’ll cover that and provide bettors with our three favorite player prop wagers for the sixth game of this best-of-seven series.

New York Knicks PG Jalen Brunson OVER 28.5 Points

New York guard Jalenn Brunson has put together another strong postseason run. He’s averaging 29.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 8.4 assists to lead the Knicks in two of those three categories.

Before Tuesday’s game, Brunson had scored at least 30 points in every game to open the series. Expect him to get out of his shooting funk and score at least 29 points in Thursday’s contest against the Pistons.

Detroit Pistons PG Cade Cunningham UNDER 42.5 Pts + Reb + Ast

In his postseason debut, Detroit’s Cade Cunningham is showing the world what he can do. The 6-foot-6 guard is averaging 25.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.8 assists through five games against New York, and he’s scored at least 21 points in every game.

While Cunningham has proven he can fill up a stat sheet, his combo player prop line for Thursday’s game is a stretch. He’s finished with exactly 42 points, rebounds, and assists three times against New York, and in two other games, he’s finished with less. Expect Cunningham to come close to this mark, but he’ll fail to cover on Thursday.

New York Knicks C Karl-Anthony Towns UNDER 10.5 Rebounds

Entering the postseason, Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns had traditionally finished above his regular-season totals in the playoffs. Through five games this season, he’s reversed that trend by scoring fewer points and grabbing fewer rebounds against the Pistons.

The Pistons have been effective at keeping Towns from collecting rebounds, limiting him to 11 or fewer each night. In fact, the seven-footer has only two contests surpassing this prop mark during their series. Take the under on this player prop bet as Towns has not finished with at least 11 rebounds in Detroit since their initial meeting of the regular season.

Best Bet: Detroit (-1.5)

This series has been very evenly matched. Only the first contest witnessed a winning margin of more than six points, and either team could have already claimed this series with just one extra shot falling through the nets.

New York has won every game on Detroit’s home court. Yet the Pistons proved they’re unwilling to go down without a fight. Expect the sixth-seeded Pistons to push this to a seventh game with a narrow victory over the Knicks on Thursday, winning by at least two points.
