4 PrizePicks MLB Props for Thursday, June 22

We certainly hope you followed our MLB props yesterday after we went 3/3, with two bets taken off the board due to the Phillies-Braves rainout. Yesterday was a 15-game slate, and today is significantly smaller, with just 8 games on the board.

However, we are confident that we have identified some of the best player props from these games, regardless. Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at our favorite props from today’s slate, provided by PrizePicks.

Blake Snell OVER 7 Strikeouts

On paper, 7 strikeouts seem like a lot. This is tied for the highest strikeout total on the entire slate, which could cause initial trepidation. However, there are a few reasons that we love the over on Snell’s strikeouts tonight.

For starters, Snell has either hit or tied this number in four of his last five starts and struck out 12 batters in each of his last two games. Plus, as a collective unit, the San Francisco Giants have the third-highest strikeout rate in the league, indicating that Snell could have a field day on the mound.

If you’re worried about Snell’s credentials, look no further than his June 17th outing against the Tampa Bay Rays, one of the top teams in baseball. If he can record 12 K’s against them, how much better can he perform today against the Giants?

Samad Taylor OVER .5 Total Bases

Samad Taylor is one of the only bright spots on the Kansas City Royals roster. They are one of the worst teams in baseball, having just a 20-54 record. However, in just 14 at-bats, Taylor has recorded 3 hits, 3 runs, and 2 RBI.

He’s on a trajectory to be a daily starter for this team and looks to keep hitting in order to secure his spot on the roster. He’ll be facing off against Shane McClanahan, who could be a tough test for Taylor.

Even with McClanahan as a potential obstacle, we like Taylor’s chances to get at least 1 hit tonight.

Shane McClanahan OVER 7 Strikeouts

Do you know how we were just talking about how bad the Royals are? Yeah. While we’re confident in Samad Taylor to get another hit tonight, we are also pretty confident in McClanahan to mow down at least 8 Royals batters.

Over the past 3 games, Royals hitters have struck out an average of 11 times per game, one of the worst marks in the league. This is the perfect storm for McClanahan to have a big strikeout day.

He hasn’t hit this mark over the last 5 games, but we believe he’s due for a massive outing against the Royals.

Luis Arraez OVER 7.5 Hitter Fantasy Score

Do you think the Minnesota Twins are regretting their decision to trade Luis Arraez to the Miami Marlins? Thus far, Arraez has a .398 batting average, which is .71 points better than the next closest person, which is Ronald Acuna, who has a .327 average.

Although Arraez has only hit the over on this total in 2 of his last 5 games, we’re confident in his ability to bounce back against the Pirates tonight.
