4 College Football Player Props for Saturday, October 5: Follow or Fade TJ Harden?

It’s hard to believe that we are already in Week 6 of the college football schedule. Much of the season is still in front of these teams, and with the new playoff system, more teams than ever have an opportunity for the season’s ultimate prize.

For bettors, the ultimate prize is winning. And this week, the college football player prop bets are offering multiple winning opportunities for smart bettors. Below, we’ll cover our top four player prop bets for this week’s college football action.

UCLA Bruins RB T.J. Harden UNDER 36.5 Rushing Yards

The UCLA Bruins have found life in the Big Ten extremely hard, losing to both Indiana and Oregon by more than 20 points in their first season in the league. Much of that is due to the team’s one-dimensional offense that is predicated on passing the football.

UCLA’s leading rusher is T.J. Harden, a 6-foot-2 junior from Los Angeles who has 125 yards on 41 carries through his first four games. Only twice this season has he eclipsed the 15-yard rushing mark after being held to that amount or less in games against Hawaii and LSU.

Penn State’s defense is a tough group that has held the last two teams to under 50 total rushing yards. The Nittany Lions show no signs of slowing down, either; expect them to keep Harden and the Bruins grounded in their rushing attack.

Ohio State Buckeyes WR Emeka Egbuka OVER 61.5 Receiving Yards

The Buckeyes have an offense built with weapons all across the board. From a pair of game-changing running backs to two receivers that should go in the first round, Ohio State has one of the most talented rosters ever put together.

Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is among that group. The 6-foot-1 senior has led the team the past two weeks in receiving, and outside the blowout victory over Akron, Egbuka has finished with no less than 96 receiving yards. Expect him to do that same thing on Saturday and cover his player prop bet against Iowa.

Clemson Tigers QB Cade Klubnik OVER 230.5 Passing Yards

Since being defeated handily by Georiga, the Clemson Tigers have mauled their competition and won each game by at least 24 points. There’s little reason to believe Florida State – a team that is currently 1-4 – will give Clemson a better fight.

Expect the Tigers to pound Florida State to show Clemson’s league supremacy over the Seminoles. Quarterback Cade Klubnik, who has thrown for 200 yards in every game since the Bulldogs’ loss, will finish above the 231-yard mark on Saturday to cover this player prop bet.

Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward OVER 303.5 Passing Yards

College Football ‘25 game players would be envious of the real-life stats that Miami Hurricane quarterback Cam Ward is producing this season. In five games, the quarterback has through 300 yards every game and 18 total touchdowns.

There’s little reason to expect his game against Cal – in an ACC game that kicks off after 10:30 p.m. EST and will be the featured location for ESPN Game Day – will be any different. Bettors will wake up to their winnings Sunday morning after Ward surpasses 300 yards and covers this player prop bet.
