Thursday Night Football kicks off Week 8 at Lambeau Field, where the Carolina Panthers visit the Green Bay Packers at 8:15 PM ET on Prime Video. Green Bay is a 3.5-point favorite with a total sitting around 47.5, and the matchup features two of the top passing offenses in the league. Both teams are also coming off division losses, so there is plenty of motivation on both sidelines.
That makes quarterback props the place to look. Jordan Love and Bryce Young are the two most important players on the field, and the sportsbooks have posted lines on their yardage and touchdown totals that do not fully reflect how this game is likely to play out. Here are three QB passing props worth a look, and the reasoning behind each one.

Jordan Love Over 260.5 Passing Yards
Love has 1,958 passing yards through seven games, second in the NFL, which works out to 279.7 yards per game. He has completed 162 of 271 passes (59.8%) with 13 touchdowns and five interceptions. In last week’s 20-17 loss at Detroit he went 27 of 45 for 274 yards, and he has now topped 270 yards in each of his last three games, with 367 against Chicago, 276 against Dallas and 274 at Detroit.
The key number is volume. The Packers have struggled to run the ball, so Love has thrown 40 or more passes four times this season, and one projection model has him attempting roughly 39.5 throws in this game. When a quarterback throws that often, the yards tend to follow even if his efficiency dips.
Carolina is a tougher test through the air than the raw yardage suggests. The Panthers allow only 195.7 passing yards per game, sixth-fewest in the NFL, and an 83.9 opponent passer rating. But they also give up 5.16 yards per carry and the most rushing yards per game in the league, which pushes opponents toward the ground when they can. Green Bay has not been able to do that consistently, so Love should keep airing it out. The line is available at 260.5 at most books, with the over priced around -113 to -114, and some books have it lower, so shop for the best number.
Bryce Young Under 256.5 Passing Yards
This one goes against the season-long numbers on purpose. Young is averaging 285.3 passing yards per game with 1,712 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 59.2% of his throws. On the surface, a line in the mid-250s looks like free money for the over.
The matchup tells a different story. Green Bay’s pass defense is ninth in yards allowed at 208 per game, and it has done the most damage without blitzing. The Packers pressure opposing quarterbacks on 38.5% of dropbacks when they rush four or fewer, the fourth-highest rate in the league, and they have nine interceptions, tied for the most in the NFL. Young, meanwhile, has been pressured on 44.3% of his dropbacks against four or fewer pass rushers, the highest rate among qualified passers, and he has taken 15 of his 17 sacks on those plays.
Last Sunday showed how quickly it can go wrong. Against Tampa Bay, Young went 14 of 27 for 163 yards with two interceptions and a lost fumble, and he was sacked five times in a 43-13 loss. Carolina is also dealing with injuries on the offensive line, including at right tackle. Green Bay also allows a league-low two touchdowns on downfield throws, so the big plays Young has relied on may be harder to find. The under at 256.5 is available at FanDuel at -114, and other books hang numbers closer to 251.5 to 253.5, so the higher line is the one to target.
Jordan Love Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
This is the safest bet of the three. Love has thrown at least two touchdown passes in six of his seven games this season, and he has cleared 1.5 in seven of his last ten games. Last week he threw two against Detroit, including a 14-yard strike to Tucker Kraft, even in a game where the offense stalled for long stretches.
The matchup helps. Carolina is allowing 27.7 points per game, and a defense that gets pushed around on the ground, as the Panthers were against Tampa Bay, tends to spend a lot of time on the field. That means more possessions for Green Bay and more chances to find the end zone through the air. The prop is priced at roughly -158 to -164 depending on the book, which is steep, but the hit rate justifies the price. If you want something less juiced, pairing it with Love’s yardage over in a same-game parlay is another option.
The Final Card for Panthers at Packers
Love is the engine of the Green Bay offense, and the volume he sees makes him a strong play on both yards and touchdowns. Young has the weaker matchup, with a pass rush that can win without help and a secondary that creates turnovers. Here are the three plays:
- Jordan Love OVER 260.5 passing yards (about -113)
- Bryce Young UNDER 256.5 passing yards (-114 at FanDuel)
- Jordan Love OVER 1.5 passing touchdowns (about -160)
