3 PrizePicks NBA Props for Thursday, February 9
The NBA world has gone absolutely bonkers over the last 24 hours. The Brooklyn Nets traded former MVP Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns for Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and a slew of draft picks. That move sent the Suns’ NBA title odds from +1800 to +450 at Caesars Sportsbook.
Need help betting on tonight’s 4 game NBA slate? We got you covered! Here are 3 PrizePicks NBA Props for Thursday, February 9. Best of luck!
LeBron James UNDER 30.5 Points
We hate fading the King, but he may not have much left in the tank after breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record a couple of nights ago. There’s no way he or the Lakers will be firing on all cylinders after such an emotional high. Maybe that’s why Unibet is pricing this prop 2 points lower at 28.5.
For the season, James is averaging pretty close to this number at 30.2 points per game. However, he’s averaging 29.2 in home games. He’s also only averaged 28.7 points through 61 career games against the Bucks.
Speaking of the Bucks, they’re a stingy defensive unit. Milwaukee actually leads the league in defensive efficiency. This could be a tough matchup for James, especially from a scoring standpoint. Take the Under!
Dejounte Murray UNDER 6.5 Assists
We’re playing with fire on this one because Murray has been an assist-machine of late. Nevertheless, we think there’s value in the Under, and we never mind banking on some regression to the mean. Even with his recent hot streak, Murray has still stayed under this total in 28 of 50 games this season.
Murray is averaging 6.3 assists per game this season. That’s slightly in our favor, but what we really like is his career history against Phoenix. Murray has stayed under this number in 11 of 14 games against the Suns.
Phoenix is no slouch on the defensive end of the floor, either. The Suns rank 5th in assists per game allowed. Murray will have a nice game tonight, but we’re still expecting an Under in the assists category from him.
Spencer Dinwiddie OVER 0.5 Steals
This number doesn’t make a lick of sense. Sure, it may take a while for Dinwiddie to get used to his new team. That being said, Dinwiddie has gotten 1 or more steals in 40 of 50 games this season. We like backing an 80% trend any chance we get!
For the season, Dinwiddie has averaged 0.9 steals per game in home games. He’s also averaged 0.6 steals per game over his last 5 outings and has gone over this total in 5 out of his last 6 games.
Dinwiddie’s career numbers against Chicago are also in our favor. He’s gotten 1 or more steals in 13 of 15 games against the Bulls. We’ll play the Over with confidence!
