3 NBA Player Props for Tuesday, November 19: Jarrett Allen Will Crash Boards Hard!
Happy Tuesday, everyone! We hope you enjoyed watching last night’s NBA action, as many of the games were exciting and came down to the wire.
We also hope you tailed our player prop picks from Underdog, as we swept the board, going 3 for 3! It was a great night from the betting side of things, and we’re looking to run it back again tonight.
There are only six games on the slate this evening, but because it’s an NBA Cup night, there is much more on the line than a typical Tuesday game. Let’s dive into our favorite picks from the action!
Cleveland Cavaliers Vs. Boston Celtics
We typically try to stay away from making two picks from the same game, but this is slated to be one of the best contests of the night. The undefeated Cavaliers are taking on the defending champs in one of their most challenging matchups to date.
Many expect the Cavaliers to lose their first game of the season tonight given how well the Celtics are playing lately, but we’re not so sure. Regardless of the winner, this game should come down to the wire.
Jayson Tatum OVER 27.5 Points
We took the over on Jayson Tatum’s point total, and the over on Jarrett Allen’s rebounds. Tatum faced a lot of criticism heading into the season, both regarding how he performed in the NBA Finals, and how he was utilized in the Olympics.
The veteran seemingly heard these critiques and has started the season in dominating fashion, especially when it comes to his point totals.
Since he’s averaging nearly 30 points per game, and recognizing the importance of this matchup, we’re more than confident that Tatum will rise to the occasion and put up at least 28.
Jarrett Allen OVER 10.5 Rebounds
The Cavaliers are undefeated for a reason, and a big reason for their success is due to consistent production from everyone on the roster. Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland are their clear stars, but players like Jarrett Allen are vital to this team’s makeup.
Allen is a beast on the board, and his 10.9 rebounds per game puts him as a top ten player in the league by that metric alone. The Cavs will most likely need Allen to achieve at least 12-15 rebounds tonight if they want a chance to beat the Celtics, as they are also a great rebounding team.
With that in mind, we’re betting the Cavs’ big man will do what’s asked of him, logging at least 11 boards.
LaMelo Ball OVER 4.5 Three-Pointers Made
The Charlotte Hornets, maybe somewhat surprisingly, aren’t one of the worst teams in the NBA this year. They aren’t .500 yet, but players like LaMelo Ball give them hope that they can perform well and compete in a year or two.
Ball has been the heart and soul of this team when he’s on the court, an infusion of life at all times. He’s been particularly effective from beyond the arc, as he’s made 5+ from deep in six of his past seven games.
We like his odds of hitting five or more tonight against the Brooklyn Nets, which is why we’ll take the over in this spot!
