Week 8 DFS Value Picks: Top Bargains To Target

These underrated DFS picks for NFL Week 8 are packed with value. Add these standout players to your lineup to maximize your points and take control of the competition this week.
Week 8 DFS Value Picks

As we head into Week 8, finding DFS value picks is more critical than ever if you want to set your DFS lineup apart from the rest.

Whether you’re dealing with injuries or navigating the onslaught of bye weeks, snagging the right bargain player for your lineup can make a huge difference.

This week offers quite a few under-the-radar names with low salaries but high potential upside.

Player Opponent Projected Points Value
Bo Nix Carolina Panthers 19.6 3.50
J. McMillan Atlanta Falcons 10.4 2.81
Breece Hall New England Patriots 21.5 2.95
Cade Otton Atlanta Falcons 11.8 3.37

Bo Nix — Denver Broncos — QB

  • Salary: $5.6k
  • Projected Fantasy Points: 19.6
  • Matchup: Carolina Panthers
  • Value: 3.50

Bo Nix is a DFS Value Pick

If you’re looking for a value quarterback this week, Bo Nix offers great potential at only $5.6k

Nix has what looks to be his best matchup yet against the Carolina Panthers. They rank 25th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Nix’s dual-threat ability makes him a nice option, as he’s capable of putting up some big points through both the air and on the ground.

In his last game, Nix posted 19.6 fantasy points, and with a 19.6-point projection this week, we think he’s a steal at this price.

As the Broncos’ rookie quarterback, Nix is gaining more confidence each week and showing flashes of why he was a top pick.

He’s coming off a record-breaking college career and has demonstrated his ability to make quick reads and extend plays. Although we think he’s still developing and honing his skills at this level, he’s where he needs to be to rack up some serious fantasy points.

Against a struggling Panthers defense, Nix should have plenty of opportunities to take advantage of mismatches and put up really nice numbers.

If you’re looking to pay down at QB, Nix has the potential for big returns at a discounted price. He’s one of the cheapest QB1s in the NFL for this week.

Jalen McMillan — Tampa Bay Buccaneers — WR

  • Salary: $3.7k
  • Projected Fantasy Points: 10.4
  • Matchup: Atlanta Falcons
  • Value: 2.81

Jalen McMillan is a Top DFS Value Pick for WR

At just $3.7k, J. McMillan is a pretty good value option heading into Week 8.

With Mike Evans sidelined due to a hamstring injury and Chris Godwin likely out with a gruesome dislocated ankle, McMillan is undoubtedly going to see an increased role in the Buccaneers offense.

He’s coming off a game where he received 8 targets, though he only turned those into 15 yards. While that stat line doesn’t jump off the page, it’s the target share that we’re zooming in on here. Before you can get any yards, you have to get the targets.

The Buccaneers face the Falcons, a defense ranked 24th in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.

If McMillan sees another boost in targets as he has before, especially with both Evans and Godwin watching the game from the sideline, he could easily blow through his 10.4-point projection.

Given his low price, he’s a low-risk, high-reward option to consider for your lineup this week. The opportunity is there. If Baker Mayfield can find a rhythm with McMillan, you’re looking at a fantastic budget play for the WR or FLEX options in your league.

Breece Hall — New York Jets — RB

  • Salary: $7.3k
  • Projected Fantasy Points: 21.5
  • Matchup: New England Patriots
  • Value: 2.95

Breece Hall DFS Value

Breece Hall comes in at a more expensive $7.3k, but his matchup against the New England Patriots is just too good to pass up. A high salary doesn’t always mean bad value, but it makes it more challenging to find the value. However, we like this matchup.

The Patriots rank 31st in fantasy points allowed to running backs. This makes Hall one of the best value picks even with his higher price tag. Hall has been highly involved in both the rushing and passing game, with a huge 21.5 fantasy points projection this week.

Last week, Hall posted 103 receiving yards and a touchdown. This simply showcased his ability to contribute in multiple ways.

Even though the Jets’ offensive line has struggled to open running lanes, Hall has managed to produce due to the sheer volume he receives.

He’s averaging 20.5 touches per game since Week 5 and continues to be a focal point in the Jet’s offense.

Expect him to see plenty of work in a game where the Jets will likely lean on him heavily. If you can fit him into your lineup, Hall provides a high upside in a favorable matchup. The Jets might not be the team everyone thought they would be, but against the Pats, it’s hard to overlook the potential.

Cade Otton — Tampa Bay Buccaneers — TE

  • Salary: $3.5k
  • Projected Fantasy Points: 11.8
  • Matchup: Atlanta Falcons
  • Value: 3.37

Best TE Value is Cade Otton
Cade Otton has quietly become a reliable option at tight end for the Buccaneers. At just $3.5k, he’s one of the best bargains of the week.

Coming off a performance where he caught 8 passes for 100 yards, Otton is expected to see an increased role once again with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both out for the game.

What makes Otton more appealing is his involvement in the passing game.

He saw 10 targets last week, and with Tampa Bay facing the Falcons, who rank 15th against tight ends, there’s no reason to believe that will change.

With an 11.8 fantasy point projection and a low price tag, Otton is an excellent option for those looking to save some salary at tight end without sacrificing too much upside.

Load Up Your DFS Lineup with Value for Week 8

This week’s DFS value picks offer a great mix of upside and low-cost options.

With J. McMillan potentially stepping into a more prominent role and Cade Otton proving to be a reliable target, both Buccaneers players give you budget-friendly access to an offense dealing with key injuries. Their salaries won’t stay this low for too long as they’ll surely rise as they get more reps and targets. Meanwhile, Breece Hall provides high-end potential in a great matchup, and Bo Nix could surprise with another strong performance for the Broncos.

As always, DFS is about getting the most value, and these players are positioned to outperform their salaries.
