UFC 312 Betting Guide: Odds, 2 Parlays, and Best Bet for Saturday, February 8

UFC is BACK with another PPV event! This time we head “DOWN UNDA” to Sydney, Australia.
This card features 2 title fights, a rematch that certainly needs to be decided between Du Plesis and Strickland, and Weilie Zhang is looking for her 3rd consecutive title defense. We have a card that is RIPE for exciting fights and finishes so let’s get into it!
Favorite Parlay
Kevin Jousset has a great bounce-back opportunity in this fight. We were against him in his last fight in our article play, taking Bryan Battle over him, and now we go right back to him. He should have the striking advantage and his experience, plus his ability to fend off takedowns will help him here. Micallef isn’t too dangerous on the feet, which could cause Jousset problems. He fends off takedowns, and out damages Micallef for 3 rounds, it should be his.
Kody Steele is an up and comer getting his UFC shot, and while these aren’t positions, we usually take, his pedigree I will back any day. He can win this fight by multiple paths and by multiple, I mean every.
If he avoids the random KO shot from Rongzhu, he should dominate on the feet, where he could find a vicious KO. He can also get this on the ground and dominate there with his strength, speed, and ability to grapple. His background before MMA was grappling and he should find a way to victory.
The Champ A Dog?
The disrespect Weili Zhang is getting here is insane. In no world should she be the dog in this spot and as of writing this, most books are still +100. How do we get here I ask. Perhaps the books see her age of 35 and all the wear and tear? Or perhaps the fact she has shown a propensity to wrestle/grapple in her most recent matches to round her game out more.
Still, the books actually believe the champ would be dumb enough to get into an all-out wrestling exchange with one of the most dangerous submission artists is crazy to me. Weli has the advantage in the striking department and it’s not even close. She has the speed and quickness to get in and out, while peppering you with damage. She brings intensity and quickness Suarez hasn’t seen and she will try her best to get this to the ground.
This is a huge step up in class for Suarez, who mind you has been incredibly inactive with injuries. Also, her last two opponents she fought were not of this class, and in their own worse positions in their careers. Suarez may win an early round or two, but I expect Weili to challenge Suarez’s takedown attempts, and I do believe she can hold her own on the ground to avoid a submission. I like to see Weili drag this into deep waters, giving Suarez a real test in the later rounds. I have also added an extra Parlay on there for you guys! Enjoy 312!
