UFC 306 Preview Odds, Predictions, and 3 Best Bets

Most of the sports world will be focused on the NFL and college football this weekend, but don’t forget about UFC 306! Get the live odds and our best bets for Saturday, September 14 below! Best of luck with all of your plays!

Main Event Play: Sean O’Malley (-135)

O’Malley is on a 6-fight win streak and has already defended his title successfully. Not to mention, he is Dana White’s new poster boy with his larger-than-life personality. Here, he faces one of his biggest nemesis’s training partners in Merab Dvallishvili.

Merab is tight with Aljamin Sterling, who is the man from whom O’Malley won the title. As Merab looks to avenge his fallen brethren, we believe he is going to have a similar fate. Merab will likely try to get inside and level change non-stop.

While his motor is unquestionable, we just believe that O’Malley’s range and ability to avoid the takedowns will be the difference. Every time Merab tries to enter, he is going to be eating shots and they will add up through the rounds.

Main Card Top Underdog Play: Brian Ortega (+150)

We will preface this play with saying you must be cautious come weigh-in day. Ortega ended up extremely sick on weigh-in day just weeks ago when he had to pull out of his previously scheduled fight with Diego Lopes.

Here, we believe that Ortegas ability to make the best out of a bad situation in the ring will carry over to what happened outside the ring.

Ortega has thrived in positions where people of doubted him and even when he finds himself in trouble and out of position in the octagon, he finds ways to pull out victories. We think Lopes is going to come into this one over-confident and Ortega will find a way to submit him or grind out a decision.

Main Card Finish Play: Alexa Grasso by Decision (+200)

The once almighty and unbeatable looking Valentina Shevchenko has lost and fought to a draw in both of her matchups with the champion, Alexa Grasso. On the scorecards in fight one, Shevchenko led before being submitted in the 4th round.

On the deciding card of the 2nd fight, the judge had Grasso down by 2 rounds but gave her the only 10-8 of the fight. Here, we believe Grasso has learned enough to avoid being controlled as much as she had been in the previous fights and use her strikes to pile up and do enough damage to get a clear decision victory.

Other Leans for All Remaining Fights

Esteban Ribovics (+190)

Ronaldo Rodriguez (-140)
