Titans at Dolphins Betting Guide: 3 Player Props and Our Best Bet

Titans at Dolphins 3 Player Props and Our Best Bet

With two games on tap tonight for the Monday Night Football lineup, fans may be overlooking the Miami Dolphins (1-2) hosting the Tennessee Titans (0-3) because of the teams’ poor records.

Tennessee has been in all two of the team’s three games this season, losing late against Chicago due to the team’s inability to put the Bears away. The Jets’ goal line stand in the second game earned New York its victory, and Green Bay built a 27-7 lead by halftime to coast to a 30-17 win.

The Dolphins have quarterback Tyler Huntley starting in place of Skylar Thompson due to the latter athlete’s injury last week. Huntley spent the offseason with the Cleveland Browns before finding a spot on the Ravens’ practice squad – his previous home for four seasons – to start the year.

The Titans should make this an interesting game tonight, but does the Dolphins have what it takes to earn their second victory of the season? We’ll cover that and our three top player prop bets for the Tennessee-Miami matchup tonight below.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill OVER 50.5 Receiving Yards

Miami has one of the fastest athletes in the game with wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Without Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback through three games, the Dolphins’ offense has been stuck in reverse.

That should change tonight with Huntley behind center. The quarterback has a strong arm, and finding a streaking Hill down the sidelines for one or two receptions will be all the wide receiver needs to cover this player prop bet.

Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard OVER 51.5 Rushing Yards

Trailing by three scores in the third quarter of last week’s contest, the Titans abandoned the running game. That kept Titans running back Tony Pollard from achieving his usual workload for Tennessee.

There’s little reason to believe Miami – a team that gave up at least 100 yards in three straight games – can keep Pollard from achieving this player prop bet. Expect the runner to finish with 60 yards on double-figure carries in this contest.

Miami Dolphins QB Tyler Huntley OVER 165.5 Passing Yards

Call this the Cleveland Browns curse. Quarterbacks who have played for the Browns over the past three seasons have all had strong starts to this season. Tampa Bay’s Baker Mayfield and Indianapolis’ Joe Flacco threw for over 500 yards and four touchdowns yesterday.

Huntley will continue this curse for the Browns. Expect the quarterback to use his experience as a starter from previous seasons to show the Dolphins’ coaching staff he belongs en route to a 200-plus yard performance and multiple touchdown throws tonight.

Best Bet: Miami (-2.5)

If this game were last week or Thompson was the quarterback for the game, I’d lean completely in the opposite direction. Miami is loaded with offensive talent, and Huntley has a strong arm and plenty of experience.

Tennessee is mired in a rebuilding season, and I’m not sure the Titans will win more than a handful of games this year. This would have been a strong candidate if not for Huntley’s presence. Expect this game to be decided by a touchdown in the Dolphins’ favor.
