Raiders at Rams: 3 Player Props to Jump On

Raiders at Rams 3 Player Props to Jump On

Two playoff teams from last season meet for Thursday Night Football in Week 14 with a combined win-loss record of 8-16 on the year. The defending champion LA Rams are 6.5-point home underdogs to the visiting Las Vegas Raiders with a total of 43.5.

Vegas has won three in a row, including back-to-back overtime wins against Denver and Seattle during that stretch. The Rams have lost six straight and are averaging just 16 points per game in that time as their title defense hopes have disappeared.

Week 13’s TNF prop plays finished 1-2 as Dawson Knox went catch-less and Jakobi Meyers had his lowest receiving output of the season to ensure our losing effort. Rhamondre Stevenson ended up staying under his rushing yard total to cash our one winning play.

We head into Week 14 with another batch of player props for this Thursday night clash out west.

Tyler Higbee UNDER 30.5 Receiving Yards

Best Available Odds: -110 at FanDuel

The Rams scored their most points since mid-October last week against Seattle, and Tyler Higbee had his fourth game this season with fewer than three catches and 20 receiving yards. All four of those instances have taken place in the last six games.

The quarterback situation for the Rams has reduced their offense to the worst passing attack in football since Matthew Stafford has been out with an injury. The team is averaging 139 passing yards per game in their last three.

Higbee has missed practice this week to rest during a short week of preparation and will be a victim of this remedial offense again in Week 14.

Josh Jacobs UNDER 89.5 Rushing Yards

Best Available Odds: -110 at FanDuel

In terms of players trending upward heading into Week 14, Josh Jacobs is possibly at the top of that list. The NFL’s leading rusher has already set a new career high with 1,303 yards.

He has racked up 482 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the Raiders’ recent three-game winning streak. A side effect of Jacobs’ recent performance is the number of hits he’s taken while carrying the football 83 times in three weeks.

The Rams are 4th in the league in yards per carry and rushing yards per game allowed to opposing teams. Jacobs will not have the same running lanes against this front seven. We project a decrease in production this week for the red-hot Jacobs.

Daniel Carlson OVER 1.5 Field Goals

Best Available Odds: -147 at Caesars

Carlson has two or more field goals in nine games this season. He’s tied for the league lead with 25 made field goals, leads the NFL in 50+ yard kicks, and is third in field goal attempts through 12 games in 2022.

Carlson has led all kickers in scoring for the last two seasons and is on pace to do so again if he continues to see this volume of opportunities.

On the other side of the ball, the Rams’ defense is especially strong in the red zone. They allow touchdowns to opponents in the red zone 43% of the time, the second-best mark in the NFL. The Raiders will move the ball plenty in this primetime contest, and Carlson will be called upon at least twice to finish off their drives.
