Our Top 3 Player Prop Bets for College Football Week 6

Our Top 3 Player Prop Bets for College Football Week 6

What a world we live in that the ranked Kansas Jayhawks are hosting the ranked TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday and College Gameday is traveling to Lawrence for the first time ever. This season has turned in some great surprises like the Jayhawks, who won 21 games as a program in the 2010s and now are 5-0 with serious hopes of winning the Big 12.

Week 6 of college football brings us some great ranked matchups between conference opponents, starting in the Pac 12 with the 18th-ranked UCLA Bruins hosting the 11th-ranked Utah Utes in a game with big implications for the conference championship. The other ranked matchup this weekend includes a top 10 Tennessee Volunteers team traveling to Death Valley to play the LSU Tigers fresh off a big victory at Auburn.

Last week’s CFB props went 3-1 with both Big Ten quarterbacks, Tanner Morgan and Spencer Petras, going well over their passing yards total and Kentucky’s Will Levis falling about 40 yards short of his in our under play. UCLA’s Dorian Thompson Robinson cost us a perfect week by running all over the Huskies when the Bruins beat Washington.

Spencer Petras UNDER 0.5 Passing Touchdowns

Best Available Odds: +174 at FanDuel

We played on Petras last week and will reverse course in Week 6. The Hawkeyes’ scoring troubles this season have been on display since their two safety, one field goal performance led to a 7-3 win against FCS South Dakota State.

Petras has thrown two touchdown passes this season, one each against Nevada and Michigan. Illinois’s defense has allowed under 8.5 points per game in 2022, the best in all of college football.

Their opponents are completing under 44% of their passes and scoring 0.4 touchdowns per game through the air thanks to defensive backs Devon Witherspoon and Jartavius Martin. Illinois will bottle up Petras and the Hawkeyes in this matchup.

Zach Charbonnet OVER 84.5 Rushing Yards

Best Available Odds: -114 at FanDuel

Charbonnet has been on a tear to begin this season, rushing for more than 104 yards per game including a season-high 124 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown in last Friday’s win against Washington.

This week, the Bruins face a tougher test in the Utes defense that ranks 12th in points allowed in the FBS but has allowed more than 120 rushing yards per game in 2022.

The Utes have been dominant against the pass this season, meaning the Bruins will have to run the ball to establish any kind of rhythm. Charbonnet will benefit and go over 100 yards for the third straight game.

Bijan Robinson OVER 104.5 Rushing Yards

Best Available Odds: -130 at DraftKings

Robinson ran all over the Sooners in 2021 to the tune of 137 yards and a touchdown in their comeback victory for the ages. Oklahoma’s run defense has only gotten worse since then, and they currently rank 119th in the FBS in rushing yards allowed per game.

After back-to-back losses to Kansas State and TCU, Oklahoma can ill afford to drop this year’s edition of the Red River Rivalry, but it may be out of their hands with a porous run D and the top running back in the country rumbling toward them 20-25 times on Saturday.

Texas would be well on their way to covering a 9.5-point spread if Robinson can stay hot against the Sooners. We see Robinson easily cracking this yardage mark on Saturday!
