NFL Week 9 Lineups for DraftKings Millionaire

NFL Week 9 Lineups for DraftKings Millionaire

Week 9 is upon us, folks! We have a lot to look forward to this week as the NFL Season reaches its halfway point. There are several awesome games on the slate, especially a few key contests at the 1:00 and 4:25 EST timeslots.

We’ve crafted several DFS lineups for this weekend, but after studying all of the games, we have picked out our favorite one to share with you all.

Let’s get after it, hoping to bring home the top prize in the DraftKings $3 Million Fantasy Football Millionaire!

Bryce Young has been a surprising player this year. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft hasn’t been able to lead this team to many victories on the year, as the Carolina Panthers just won their first game last week..

Despite the Panthers’ lack of success, Young has still been a good fantasy and DFS option. He is averaging just north of 13 PPG on the season, but his last few weeks have indicated that he is a rising star with a breakout week in coming.

We are projecting a big week from him this week against an Indianapolis Colts defense that allows an NFL-worst 34 points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

RB: Royce Freeman ($4,600) & Jonathan Taylor ($6,400)

We decided to take a swing with Royce Freeman this week for two reasons. One, he is an inexpensive DFS option, and two, he is playing the Green Bay Packers. Easy enough? The Packers allow 25.3 PPG to opposing running backs on the season and continue to have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL.

This, paired with the fact that they are not showing many signs of life is a great reason to include Freeman in your lineup this week. He has proven to be a good upside play when given the opportunity, something he should have a lot of against the Packers.

Jonathan Taylor is back, y’all! After a slow start to the year, once he returned from injury, Taylor looks like he is back to his usual self. He scored 21 points against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7, a sign that he is ready to keep contributing.

The Colts face off against the Panthers this week, one of the worst run defenses in football. Look for a masterclass performance from Taylor this week, a great value in your lineup even though his salary is $6,400.

WR: Jordan Addison ($6,000), Adam Thielen ($7,500), & CeeDee Lamb ($8,200)

We went big at wide receiver this week, trying to make up for any shortcomings with our budget pieces. Jordan Addison is a budding star at the receiver position. He has established himself as a strong player week after week, especially as long as Justin Jefferson remains sidelined.

He has Jaren Hall as his quarterback this week, which might lead people away from picking him for their lineups. However, DeAndre Hopkins had a three-touchdown game in Will Levis’ debut last week, meaning that anything can happen for a rookie QB. Let’s hope the Addison-Hall connection is strong!

Adam Thielen and Bryce Young have been one of the most surprising duos in the NFL this season. Thielen has resurrected his career with the Panthers, quickly becoming their top receiver and a great value piece in fantasy lineups. We had to pair him with Young this week against the Colts, who give up 67.2 points per game to opposing receivers.

CeeDee Lamb is going to FEAST against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. He averages 65.2 yards per game against the Eagles in his career, scoring three total touchdowns in his games against this divisional foe.

In their last meeting, Lamb had 10 catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns. With Dak Prescott heating up, we love his chances to have another big week, meaning that he’s well worth the high sticker price.

Tight End: Luke Musgrave ($3,300)

As much as it pains us to say, the Packers stink. Jordan Love hasn’t performed as well as many anticipated him to, and his last few weeks have left a lot to be desired.

Despite his poor play, Love has turned Luke Musgrave into a security blanket when he has been on the field. Musgrave has made a big impact on this team in his rookie campaign, a trend that should continue moving forward.

We’re projecting him to have at least five catches this week, a solid floor for your tight end position.

Flex: Chris Olave ($6,300)

After a great fantasy season in 2022, Chris Olave has been mostly disappointing this season. He has just two games with more than 20 points on the year, both came before Week 4.

Despite poor showings lately, we believe Olave is set to get back on track this week. The Chicago Bears allow over 30 PPG to opposing wide receivers on the season, and seeing that Olave is a top-two option for the New Orleans Saints, we believe he has a chance to break out.

Defense: New York Giants ($2,300)

The New York Giants’ defense was the cheapest on the slate, but we’re not sure why. The Las Vegas Raiders are rolling out Aidan O’Connell at QB this week, a rookie with a lot to prove.

While the Giants aren’t exactly the league’s best defense, we expect them to feast against O’Connell this weekend.
