NFL Week 5 Betting Guide: Our 4 Best Player Props for Sunday, October 6

Week 5 of the NFL Season is finally upon us! This is the first week that teams have byes, so make sure to adjust your fantasy football lineups accordingly.

If you’ve been following along with our player props on Underdog, you’ll know that we’ve hit the last six plays we’ve given out! We went 3/3 on last Sunday’s slate and crushed our three props from Thursday Night Football this week!

We’re on a bit of a hot streak, one that we hope continues into this week’s action. We’ve highlighted our four favorite plays below: Can we repeat our success from the past week? Let’s find out!

Josh Allen OVER 230.5 Passing Yards

Josh Allen had a stinker last week against the Baltimore Ravens, his second poor outing of the season. He wasn’t able to be as efficient or effective as he would like to be, as the Ravens seemed to have his number.

However, Allen bounced back from his last poor performance with a 263-yard, four-touchdown game. That was against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but we still think he’s in for a big game against the Texans.

In the hopes for a shootout, we anticipate Allen to crush the over on his passing yardage total this week!

Derrick Henry UNDER 1.5 Receptions

Derrick Henry is a lot of things, but he’s not known for being a pass-catching back. He’s only caught five balls this year, three of them came against the Dallas Cowboys last week.

The Baltimore Ravens like to utilize his skills on the ground, as evidenced by two straight games with over 150 rushing yards. Henry should regress towards the mean this week, catching less than two balls.

Diontae Johnson OVER 60.5 Receiving Yards

We took the over on Johnson’s receiving yardage prop line last week and were rewarded handsomely. His connection with Andy Dalton continues to be undeniable, and the Carolina Panthers reap the benefits.

Johnson had 83 yards last week, and over 100 the week prior. We’re riding with him until he has a bad game!

Austin Siebert OVER 2.5 Extra Points Made

The Washington Commanders are on an absolute tear. This team is looking much better than people expected, and they have Jayden Daniels to thank for that.

He’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the league this year regardless of tenure. The Commanders’ offense is rolling, and they continue to put up big numbers every week.

Look for Daniels to lead the team to at least three scoring drives, giving Austin Siebert the opportunity to make at least three extra points!
