NFL Week 4 Player Props Guide: Top Plays for Sunday, September 29 and Why We’re Riding Darnold
Happy Friday, to all! Week 4 of the NFL season has already started, as the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants in a game that was mostly a snoozefest. Sure, Malik Nabers was a beast, as expected, but for the most part, it wasn’t a very enjoyable game.
We’re hoping the tides change for the Sunday slate, especially as it relates to player props. Had CeeDee Lamb not had a monster performance last night, we would have gone 3-0 in our Underdog plays but had to settle for a 2-1 night instead.
After losing one prop last night, we studied the board intently for the Sunday slate and came up with our favorite plays that gave us the best chance of sweeping the board. Without further ado, here are those plays!
Sam Darnold OVER 227.5 Passing Yards
Did anyone else have a big season from Sam Darnold on their 2024 Bingo card? We certainly didn’t, but Minnesota Vikings fans are rejoicing because he’s been much better than people thought.
He’s brought them to a 3-0 record and is putting up big numbers in the process. This weekend’s matchup should be a shootout between the Vikings and the Green Bay Packers, and he should hit the over on his passing line easily, perhaps before the fourth quarter even begins.
Brian Thomas Jr OVER 45.5 Receiving Yards
Brian Thomas Jr. is putting together a fantastic rookie season despite the Jacksonville Jaguars holding an 0-3 record. Trevor Lawrence wants to make him a big part of the offense, even though he’s having some major struggles of his own.
Thomas has put up at least 47 yards in each game this season, and because we think this will be a pass-friendly game, we’re going to keep riding with him until he proves us wrong.
Diontae Johnson OVER 61.5 Receiving Yards
We thought this line was going to be a lot higher when it was announced that Adam Thielen was going on IR. Diontae Johnson looked fantastic in his first game with Andy Dalton under center last week, putting up eight receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown.
And that was with Thielen on the field! We think he’s going to have another monster performance against the Cincinnati Bengals this week, which is why we’ll take the over on his receiving yards.
