MNF: Live Odds and Best Bets for Cowboys at Chargers

MNF Live Odds and Best Bets for Cowboys at Chargers

The Dallas Cowboys will look to get back in the win column after a rough showing on Sunday Night Football in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers. The Los Angeles Chargers should be well-rested after their bye week.

What team has the edge in this NFC vs AFC battle? Check out the live odds and our best bets for Cowboys at Chargers below! Good luck!

Best Bet: Cowboys -2 over Chargers (DraftKings)

The Cowboys have had Super Bowl aspirations since the offseason. They then went 2-0 to start the season before taking a very bad loss to the Cardinals. After bouncing back against New England where they won 38-3, they took off to San Fran where they ran into a buzzsaw.

Trailing 21-7 at the break, things only got worse for the Cowboys as they finished with a 42-20 loss. Dak Prescott threw 3 interceptions and the normally formidable Dallas defense looked mediocre, to say the least. Despite this lackluster effort, the Cowboys still rank in the Top 10 both offensively and defensively.

The Chargers have done a nice job after starting out 0-2 on the year. They have been able to get back-to-back wins over Minnesota and Las Vegas. Both wins came without their superstar running back Austin Ekeler, who is slated to return for this matchup with Dallas.

Justin Herbert has done a nice job in protecting the ball and throwing just 1 interception to his 7 touchdown passes on the season. Veteran wideout, Keenan Allen has been a stabilizing force for the offense while Khalil Mack seems to be having a resurgence after compiling 6 sacks against the Raiders. The Chargers are coming off a bye which could give them a slight edge in this one.

Despite the week off, the return of Ekeler, and the recent solid play; the Chargers are still home underdogs in this matchup. We believe the Cowboys will bounce back from their loss to the Niners like they did after losing to the Cardinals. It may not be by 35 points like they did against the Pats but even a 3-point victory here is enough to cover the number.

 Key Trends:

  • Dallas is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games against an opponent in the AFC.
  • Dallas is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games when playing as the favorite.
  • LAC is 1-3 ATS in their last 4 home games against Dallas.
