Eagles at Chiefs: Best Player Prop Bets for MNF

Eagles at Chiefs Best Player Prop Bets for MNF

Football fans would be hard-pressed to pick a better Monday Night Football matchup this week than Eagles at Chiefs. According to NBC Sports, this is the ninth regular-season meeting between teams that shared the field in the previous Super Bowl. The Super Bowl winner has a 6-2 straight-up record in these rematches, which gives the Chiefs the historical momentum, for what that’s worth.

Kansas City is favored by 2.5 points at Arrowhead Stadium, where the total has fallen by a field goal to 45 points since it first opened. One more note from NBC Sports: this is the fourth time since 2000 that the conference leaders in the AFC and NFC will play each other in Week 11 or later.

Kansas City is the current favorite to win the Super Bowl, listed at +475 odds at DraftKings. San Francisco (+500) and Philadelphia (+550) are giving chase, and those numbers will likely shift after the result of this meeting.

Our Underdog prop plays finished 1-1 for the second straight time last week, putting our recent record at 6-3 since Week 7. We’ve got three plays lined up for this premier MNF matchup and outline our handicaps next.

McKinnon will need to rely on getting targeted in the passing game to reach this number because of his elimination from the KC rushing attack and the top-ranked Philly run defense across the line of scrimmage.

In nine games this season, he has 12 rushing attempts for 23 yards and 17 catches on 23 targets. Patrick Mahomes will likely give him at least two to three looks, as he has eight times in nine games this year, but McKinnon is only managing 8.6 yards per reception.

He has cracked 20 yards receiving in three of four games entering this week, though he needed a season-high five targets against Denver to hit that mark. We feel comfortable playing his under against the Eagles.

Harrison Butker OVER 7.5 Kicking Points

The Chiefs’ kicker has not missed in 2023, connecting on all 18 field goals and 22 extra points in an impressive display of accuracy and power. In two of his last four games, Butker has drilled a field goal longer than 55 yards, including a 60-yarder against Denver on October 12.

In four games at Arrowhead this season, Butker is 9-for-9 on field goal attempts and 12-for-12 on extra points, which averages out to 9.75 kicking points per game at home. Philadelphia has struggled to prevent opponents from scoring touchdowns in the red zone this season, ranking 26th in the league.

That means more of Butker’s work could come via extra points, so we like this play rather than his field goal total on Monday night.

Kevin Byard OVER 7.0 Tackles + Assists

Byard has been a tackle machine over his previous four games, two of which have been in an Eagles’ uniform since Tennessee traded him to Philadelphia. He’s accumulated 16 tackles in two games for Philly and had 19 in his final two games for the Titans.

When the Eagles acquired Byard, the Philadelphia native and All-Pro expressed his desire to contribute to an organization with a great chance of winning the championship.

He’s been an essential part of the team since and is tied with Nakobe Dean and Reed Blankenship for the team lead in total tackles during those wins against Washington and Dallas.
