DraftKings Millionaire Lineup Strategy for NFL Week 3

DraftKings NFL Week 3 Millionaire Maker Lineup

We’re only two weeks in and it already feels like the NFL season is flying by. We’ve still got 20 shots at taking down the DraftKings Millionaire Maker, so let’s take a look at the week 3 slate and our optimal lineup.

The winning lineup from week 2 went with a Daniel Jones/Malik Nabers stack. Jones wasn’t great, but Nabers was, and of course, the lineup featured Alvin Kamara and Marvin Harrison Jr.

We will start our lineup with a Kyler Murray/Greg Dortch stack, with Gibbs and Laporta on the other side. This game has the highest week 3 total, so there will be plenty of similar lineups, we’ve got a bit of zag with no Harrison, St. Brown, or Jamo in our lineup.

Detroit’s defense is solid, but their league-leading run defense funnels opposing offenses to the pass. Fade James Conner and load up on Murray stacks in this one. Here is our full DraftKings Millionaire lineup for week 3:

QB Kyler Murray (ARI) – $6,900

K1 comes into this game off a high note, finding his WR1 Marvin Harrison Jr. for two 1st quarter touchdowns en route to a lopsided win against the Rams. Murray has thrown for 4 TDs and no picks yet through two games while rushing for over 100 yards on 10 total attempts. This looks like vintage Kyler and my hot take through two weeks – we are looking at this year’s QB1 in fantasy football.

Murray has the Detroit and Washington defenses at home coming up, two extremely vulnerable pass defenses through their first few games. The Lions just allowed a big game from Baker Mayfield and with this game looking to be a shootout, expect 30+ attempts and 8+ rushes from K1.

RB Jahmyr Gibbs (DET) – $6,800

Gibbs has had a solid start to his 2024 campaign, putting up 17+ points in PPR formats in both games while rushing for 5.17 YPC. This Lions offense is dynamic and although they didn’t perform against Tampa Bay, the Arizona defense will be a great matchup for this dynamic rushing attack in which Jahmyr Gibbs should take advantage of with his 20 touches. No one on Arizona can match his speed which is why the boom factor for JG is RB1 status this week.

RB Zamir White (LV) – $5,500

The Raiders are 1-1 after a massive win against Baltimore that no one saw coming. Heading into Week 3 against Carolina, Zamir White has been unproductive as the RB1 for this team putting up just 3.09 YPC. With that being said, the weak Carolina defensive front opposite a Raiders team that is touch and relentless in the trenches makes for an intriguing matchup. With a positive game script, expect White to finally find the paydirt and break away for a few big runs.

WR Chris Godwin (TB) – $6,500

Ride the Chris Godwin train while it’s still hot. Baker Mayfield has found a new top option in the receiving game in Tampa and Godwin has reaped in the benefits of this. Playing all over the field including some more slot snaps, CG has 15 catches for 200 yards and 2 scores over his first two games, mirroring his start to the season in 2019 in which he finished the year as the WR2. Denver’s defense has held up against WRs thus far, but with Baker at home and comfortably 2-0, I’m looking for this connection to have another consistent game resulting in yet another score for Godwin.

WR Rashid Shaheed (NO) – $5,300

Another player that is flying under the radar for a high-octane offense, Rashid Shaheed has two scores on 7 catches through his first two games. The Saints are 2-0 and will host a Philly team that has lost some confidence after their tough loss at home on MNF to the Falcons. New Orleans will push the ball down the field to start this game and with Olave covered by Slay, look for Shaheed to win some 1v1 battles in which Carr won’t be afraid to throw his way. The Eagles have been the worst team against WRs in FFB formats.

WR Greg Dortch (ARI) – $4,500

Dortch will get a more positive game script this week after the Cardinals smoked the Lions out of Arizona with ease. Dortch is the WR2 for Arizona and against a Detroit defense that will key in on McBride and MHJ, I’m looking for Dortch to win a few 1st downs for Arizona as well as become a slot threat for this team over the next few weeks (56% of snaps out of slot thus far).

TE Sam LaPorta (DET) – $6,000

No, it is not time to panic on Sam LaPorta – yet.
LaPorta has a plus matchup against Arizona who don’t have the size nor speed to cover a tight end of his caliber. Ben Johnson and Jared Goff need to get the big fella the ball this game in order to beat this Arizona team that will score at least 25 points, so expect a solid performance from LaPorta especially in the red zone where he dominated last season.

FLX Tank Dell (HOU) – $5,200

While the Texans are 2-0, Tank Dell has been quiet so far. He’s caught just 4 passes for 37 yards this season as Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins have taken over the WR1 and 2 roles. With this being said, Dell is an incredible play for these types of lineups. Playing around 70% of snaps against a Minnesota team that will bring pressure, Dell can use his speed to break away for one of those long TDs we saw him go for last season.

Remember, in 11 games his rookie year Dell scored 7 touchdowns while his YPC finished at 15.09. These numbers won’t sustain in his 2nd season and although the 3rd option on this offense, he’ll produce a big game against a 2-0 Minnesota team that can’t match his speed.

DST Steelers – $3,300

Justin Herbert is banged up and this is first time Jim Harbaugh is facing a top tier defense. I love this matchup for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers defense has allowed 16 points and 521 total yards through two games while T.J. Watt has looked like an MVP candidate through these two wins. Los Angeles doesn’t have enough playmakers to defeat Pittsburgh and with the Steelers at home for this one, time to ring the alarm for LA.
