DraftKings and FanDuel NFL Week 12 Lineup Strategy
Week 12 is here and we have one of our favorite lineups of the season to share with readers as kickoff approaches. Here are our top plays for both FanDuel and DraftKings this week:
QB – Tyrod Taylor
DraftKings Price – $5,300 | FanDuel Price – $7,400
Tyrod is far from the highest ceiling QB play on this board, but at just $5,300 on DraftKings, he may be the cheapest route to 20 points this week. The Jets have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks over the past month, despite giving up just 13 total rushing yards (0 touchdowns) over that stretch. Taylor makes for an easy stack with Brandin Cooks, who should have his way against this secondary.
RB – Saquon Barkley
DraftKings Price – $6,300 | FanDuel Price – $7,500
Another week removed from injury, Barkley is in line to be the focal point of this Giants offense that will be without Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney. Barkley has at least six targets in each of his last three full games played. We think that number could jump to 8+ targets against the Eagles here in week 12 as Barkley should benefit from being the check-down option against an Eagles defense with strong corner play.
RB – Dontrell Hilliard
DraftKings Price – $4,600 | FanDuel Price – $5,500
The Titans are thin at every offensive position but Hilliard looked solid both as a runner and pass catcher in week 11. He played 63% of the snaps for the Titans last week and could put up big numbers in the passing game if he gets that sort of workload again in week 12. The Patriots give up the second-most production in the NFL to pass-catching running backs and the 12th most points overall to RB’s.
WR – Mike Evans
DraftKings Price – $7,200 | FanDuel Price – $7,500
I think both Evans and Godwin are must-start plays this week but if forced to pick just one, I prefer Evans’ high ceiling. The Colts have allowed 25 receiving touchdowns already this season, most in the NFL, and this looks like a week that Evans could find the end zone multiple times.
WR – Brandin Cooks
DraftKings Price – $5,800 | FanDuel Price – $6,500
As we mentioned earlier, Cooks makes an easy stack with Tyrod this week. He saw only 3 targets last week, but came into week 11 averaging 10 targets per game over his previous four. The Jets are allowing 170 receiving yards per game to opposing WR’s this season which bodes well for Cooks given his 34% target share in the Texans’ offense.
WR – Michael Pittman Jr.
DraftKings Price – $5,600 | FanDuel Price – $6,600
If this game gets away from the Colts early, Pittman could be extremely busy this week and the Bucs have a ton of injuries on the backend. Given Johnathan Taylor will likely be one of the highest owned RB’s this week, Pittman is a nice contrarian play here. Like Cooks, Pittman is the clear number one in Indy with a target share of nearly 25%.
TE – Pat Freiermuth
DraftKings Price – $4,300 | FanDuel Price – $5,300
Freiermuth has a great week 12 matchup against the Bengals who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends over the past month. His volatility should scare off a lot of owners, keeping his ownership down but given his upside and the matchup, he is one of our favorite plays for the week.
