DFS Value Picks: Week 14 Edition
With Week 14 upon us, DFS managers are deep in the trenches looking for affordable players who can deliver massive value and upside to their lineups. There’s not too much season left so every week counts when you’re building NFL DFS lineups.
We’ve broken down the absolute best value picks based on their salary, projected points, and how they’ve been performing over the past few weeks.
These players have strong opportunities to make the most of favorable matchups without breaking the bank.
Will Levis — Tennessee Titans — QB
- Salary: $5.0k
- Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars
- Projected Fantasy Points: 17.0 DK points
- Value: 3.40x
Will Levis is set to deliver some solid DFS value this week as he’s going up against a Jacksonville defense ranked 32nd against quarterbacks.
At this price point, he’s a great pick for those looking to save at the QB position without sacrificing upside. Just think about where else you can use your extra salary!
Levis has been fairly inconsistent this year, but when he’s on, he’s on. He’s shown flashes of fantasy brilliance throughout the season like his 278-yard, 2-touchdown performance against Houston in Week 12. Going against the Titans, we think he can do it again.
What makes him especially intriguing this week is the matchup.
Jacksonville’s defensive struggles against QBs are the perfect scenario for Levis to air it out with big chunk plays. With 17.0 projected points, he’s sitting at a 3.40x value, which is tough to beat in this salary range. He’s one of the cheapest starting QBs on the block.
While Levis has faced issues with turnovers (a whopping 5 interceptions over his last 4 games), his ability to push the ball downfield is undeniable and could easily bring in a ton of fantasy points. If he can connect on a couple of big plays and limit mistakes, he could smash his price tag in DFS lineups. Don’t miss out on this DFS pick.
Jauan Jennings — San Francisco 49ers — WR
- Salary: $5.2k
- Opponent: Chicago Bears
- Projected Fantasy Points: 14.0 DK points
- Value: 2.69x
Jauan Jennings is a sneaky value play at WR, particularly with a favorable matchup against the Bears.
The Bears have given up big chunk yardage to wideouts, and Jennings is coming off a solid game where he caught 5 passes for 56 yards against Buffalo. That wasn’t a fluke and he can easily hit that again and sprinkle in a TD or two for some big points.
Jennings may not have the flashiest name like some of the other receivers in the league, but he’s a consistently reliable option. This is especially true when opposing defenses key in on other 49ers stars like Deebo Samuel and even Brandon Aiyuk.
His 14.0 projected fantasy points bring him in at a 2.69x value, making him a worthwhile pick for DFS rosters.
In a game where San Francisco is expected to have plenty of scoring chances, Jennings could be the unsung hero who racks up the FP while flying under the radar. His ability to get open in the short and intermediate passing game makes him a low-risk, high-reward option for your lineup. Jennings could be explosive this week and with that salary, he’s a steal.
Alvin Kamara — New Orleans Saints — RB
- Salary: $8.0k
- Opponent: New York Giants
- Projected Fantasy Points: 24.7 DK points
- Value: 3.09x
Alvin Kamara sure doesn’t come cheap, but his 3.09x value projection still makes him a great DFS pick for Week 14 of the NFL season. Plus, with all of the money you saved at the QB position, you can afford him.
The big key is that Kamara faces a New York Giants defense that ranks 29th against running backs, and the matchup is simply too good to ignore.
Kamara has been a workhorse all season and everyone knows that. Week 13 was no different, with 23 carries for 112 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Rams. He also remains one of the league’s top pass-catching backs, averaging over 5 targets per game this season. He’s a favorite target for Derek Carr who has been airing it out more and more this season.
With a projection of 24.7 fantasy points, Kamara is a safe bet for both cash games and tournaments. His ability to add up points in both the running and passing game makes him a dual-threat DFS powerhouse you won’t want to skip on. Against the Giants, who have struggled to contain dynamic running backs like Kamara, he has a clear path to a monster performance.
Trey McBride — Arizona Cardinals — TE
- Salary: $6.1k
- Opponent: Seattle Seahawks
- Projected Fantasy Points: 17.1 DK points
- Value: 2.80x
Trey McBride ($6.1k) has come out as a favorite target in Arizona’s passing game.
With 17.1 projected points and a 2.80x value, he’s a mid-tier TE option who could outproduce his salary this week and potentially some WRs and RBs.
McBride’s role in the offense has grown steadily week after week, and he’s seen a whopping 25 targets over the last 3 games, turning those into consistent fantasy production. Those are wide receiver numbers. His 12 receptions for 96 yards in Week 13 against Minnesota just goes to show his ability to dominate in the short and intermediate areas of the field.
Facing Seattle, a defense ranked 20th against tight ends, McBride we think will continue to see plenty of opportunities. If you’re looking for a player with both a safe floor and a high ceiling at tight end, McBride is a strong choice to add to your lineup.
Set Those Week 14 Lineups!
This week’s DFS slate is loaded with tons of potential. However, the key to building a winning lineup is finding players who provide the most bang for your buck; like these players.
Will Levis, Jauan Jennings, Alvin Kamara, and Trey McBride all offer the best value based on their salaries, projected points, and matchups. Whether you’re filling out a tournament lineup or looking for cash-game consistency, these players should be firmly on your radar.
