Best Player Prop Bets for Vikings at Eagles
Week 1 of the NFL Season is officially in the books! We absolutely killed it during the first week on our player props, and we certainly hope you did the same. This time of year is always exciting, and having juice on the game never hurts, giving fans something else to look forward to.
After watching all of the NFL teams compete in the first week, it can be easy to react to player performances. We’re going to try hard to put our bias aside for this Thursday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings.
There are a few awesome props that we’ve identified on Underdog and are excited to share them with you. Without further adieu, here are our three favorite props for this contest!
Jalen Hurts OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
It’s no secret that Jalen Hurts struggled in the Eagles’ season opener against the Patriots. He put up just 170 passing yards and one touchdown during this contest, not exactly what fans expected from the MVP candidate from a year ago.
However, there’s reason to believe he’ll bounce back this week, especially against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings allowed Baker Mayfield to throw for 173 yards and two touchdowns during their Week 1 matchup.
If Mayfield can throw two TDs against this defense, it’s safe to assume Hurts will put together a massive week of his own. Look for Hurts to smash this over, potentially even by the end of the first half.
Kirk Cousins OVER .5 Interceptions
Kirk Cousins was another quarterback to struggle in his Week 1 matchup. Sure, he threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns, but he wasn’t able to bring the Vikings to an ultimate victory. This is a loss in the record books, which is all that matters at the end of the day.
The Vikings have historically struggled against the Eagles, a team that seems to have their number on speed dial. The Eagles have one of the league’s best defenses, hungry to gobble up any bad balls sent their way.
While we anticipate Cousins to have a decent day throwing the ball, we also think he’ll throw at least one ball to an Eagles defender, hitting the over on this prop.
A.J. Brown OVER 5.5 Receptions
In a rough game for the Eagles’ passing attack, A.J. Brown was the focal point of this offense. He saw 10 targets throughout the game that he turned into seven catches and 79 yards.
Brown has quickly become Hurts’ safety blanket in this offense, a trend we expect will continue for the rest of the season.
Look for Brown to be peppered again with targets this week. We wouldn’t be surprised if he hits this over in the first half, making for sweat-free cash!
