The Florida Panthers host the Seattle Kraken tonight at Amerant Bank Arena (puck drop is 6 p.m. ET, streaming on ESPN+), and if you have ever wondered how a same game parlay works, this is a friendly place to start. Florida enters at 4-2-2 and Seattle at 5-2-1, and the two clubs are meeting for the first time this season.

A same game parlay (SGP) simply ties several bets from one game into a single ticket, and every leg has to win for the ticket to cash. Tonight’s card has three legs: the Panthers on the moneyline, Brady Tkachuk to score anytime, and Sam Reinhart to score anytime. Odds move, so check your book before you place anything. Panthers are around -190 on the moneyline, with the total set at 6.5.

Leg 1: Panthers Moneyline, The Safest Building Block

A moneyline bet is the easiest wager in hockey: pick the team that wins the game. Books have Florida roughly -185 to -196 depending on where you shop, which implies about a 65% chance of a home win. That is a short price, but it works well as the anchor of a parlay because it is the leg most likely to hit.

There is a catch worth knowing. Florida has played tight games, going 3-0-2 in one-goal contests, but the Panthers are also missing Aleksander Barkov (lower body), Brad Marchand (leg) and Jonah Gadjovich (upper body), and goalie Jacob Markstrom is day to day. If Schmid gets the net again, note that he is carrying a .876 save percentage this season. Seattle, meanwhile, has allowed the third most shots in the NHL and is on the last night of a road trip. Daccord is expected in goal for the Kraken, and defenseman Ryan Lindgren is out while Brandon Montour is day to day.

Leg 2: Brady Tkachuk Anytime Goal Scorer

An anytime goal scorer bet is exactly what it sounds like: the player needs to score at least once during the game, in regulation or overtime. Brady Tkachuk is the story of the week. After going without a goal through his first six games in a Panthers sweater, he scored back-to-back natural hat tricks against Columbus and then Vancouver. The Vancouver one included a goal with 11.8 seconds left to tie it and the overtime winner, and he is only the third player in NHL history with natural hat tricks in consecutive games. He now has six goals in eight games.

His anytime goal price was listed around +135 at one outlet, with other books showing longer numbers, so shop around. Remember the hat tricks do not guarantee anything, because scoring streaks cool off. But with Barkov out, Tkachuk is getting top-line minutes with his brother Matthew, who leads Florida with 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists), and Seattle’s defense is giving up plenty of shots.

Leg 3: Sam Reinhart Anytime Goal Scorer

Reinhart is the beginner-friendly pick here because he is the player the market likes most to score tonight. He scored twice in Tuesday’s 7-3 win over Columbus (one on the power play) and added a power-play assist, and he has four goals in eight games. Reinhart was priced near +155 to score at one outlet and Dimers’ model gives him about a 42% chance to find the net, the highest of anyone on either roster.

Stacking two anytime scorers on the same team is a nice way to learn how parlays work, because it shows the trade-off clearly: each extra leg boosts the payout but lowers your chance of cashing. If you want a safer ticket, drop one scorer and keep the other.

The Full Parlay

Put it together and you have Panthers moneyline, Brady Tkachuk anytime goal, and Sam Reinhart anytime goal. Because the legs are correlated (if Florida scores, they are more likely to win), sportsbooks adjust the combined price, so the final number on your bet slip will differ from simply multiplying the three. Check the odds at your book before you lock it in.

If you are new to the sport, our guide to live NHL odds shows how prices compare across books, and the betting calculator will help you figure out what a parlay pays before you place it. Seattle has scored 31 goals in eight games, so nothing is guaranteed. Keep your stake small, and if betting stops being fun, visit our responsible gambling page.

The ticket, one more time: Panthers moneyline, Brady Tkachuk to score anytime, Sam Reinhart to score anytime. All three need to hit, so treat it as a fun, low-stakes play.
