Monday Night Football: Our 3 Best Underdog DFS Picks for Lions vs Ravens

We have a heavyweight matchup in Baltimore tonight as the 1-1 Lions take on the 1-1 Ravens. Lamar Jackson has thrown for 2+ TDs in 11 of his last 12 regular-season games.
With Detroit’s secondary already showing struggles during the early season, this might turn into an all-time track meet between two of the quickest teams in the league.
Jahmyr Gibbs (DET) Higher Than 0.5 Rush/Rec TD
Gibbs came to life last week against Chicago, totaling over 100 yards and a score in a convincing win to bring the Lions back to .500. The 3rd-year back is potentially the most talented player at the position and should show it on primetime against a team he scored against in 2023, when he went for 68 ground yards and 58 receiving yards.
Jahmyr is seeing more red zone work than ever and seeing around 60% of snaps, he is on the field more often than Montgomery to give us some comfort in taking his anytime TD this week.
Dating back to last season, Gibbs only had four games without scoring a single touchdown. After failing to score in Week 1, here comes the hot stretch for one of the best running backs in the game.
Sam LaPorta (DET) Higher Than 4.5 Receptions
The Ravens have been horrendous against the tight end position thus far, allowing 4/40 to Njoku, 5/48 to Fannin, and 4/48/1 to Kincaid. LaPorta is the best of this bunch and after a big time season opener, I expect him to get back on track tonight against Baltimore.
He went for 6 catches on 7 targets in the Lions only matchup with Baltimore since drafting the talented tight end. With the Ravens defense allowing the short yardage plays opposed to the bombs to Jameson Williams and Amon-Ra, LaPorta is due to get involved early and often.
Lamar Jackson (BAL) Higher Than 1.5 Pass TD
The Lions defense looked lost against Green Bay in Week 1 but found success against Caleb Williams in a Week 2 definitive victory. Still, QBs have thrown for 4 TDs against this squad while picking apart the secondary in the second half of ball games.
Jackson has thrown for 2 and 4 TDs in each of his games this season and with this game due to become a shootout in Baltimore, I’m backing Lamar to deliver an MVP worthy performance.
He threw for 3 TDs in their last matchup against Detroit and looking back on the 2024 season, the MVP candidate threw 2 or more TDs in 10 of his last 11 regular season outings.
