Main Event Play: Khamzat Chimaev by SUB (+130)
Du Plessis certainly will be the most unorthodox fighter that Chimaev has ever faced. However, we do not believe that is going to be an issue for him in this matchup.
In fact, it could play to his benefit if Du Plessis tries to constantly pressure and throw his wild punches with his head down. We see Chimaev being able to get an early take down and using his long legs and arms to secure a submission finish here and become the NEW middleweight champion of the world.
Main Card Total Rounds Play: Cannonier vs Page UNDER 2.5 Rounds (+210)
Most are expecting this fight to end in a decision. We assume that is due to Page being the favorite and leading the public to expect him to stay away from Cannonier’s range and try to strike his way to a decision victory.
However, we believe Cannonier will push the pace to keep Page from using his superior striking. One good shot from Cannonier will likely put Page away, and if Page can secure some sort of wild submission, that could end things as well.
Top Underdog Play: Geoff Neal (+200)
We love Carlos Prates, and he certainly could get the job done here against Neal, but we believe that he is being overvalued in this matchup. Neal’s last 2 losses came to Machado Garry and Shavkat.
While Prates’s only loss in the UFC also came to Machado Garry. That said, Neal lost a split decision to him while Prates was dominated to a unanimous decision.
