5 MLB Player Props for Monday, June 3: Can McMahon Go Deep Against Cincy?
Eight games are on tap for the MLB schedule for Monday, June 3. Highlighting the schedule is an AL East matchup between the Baltimore Orioles traveling north to face the Toronto Blue Jays at 7 p.m.
What players should bettors watch to have strong games tonight? We’ve covered the top five MLB player prop bets for Monday’s games. Best of luck, folks
Baltimore Orioles’ Grayson Rodriguez OVER 5.5 Strikeouts
The Orioles are 8-2 in their last 10 outings, including a sweep of the Chicago White Sox as well as winning four of the past six games against AL East teams. Pitcher Grayson Rodriguez has thrown twice during that stretch, going 1-1 during that stretch.
Tonight, Grayson pitches against the Blue Jays for the first time this season. In his last six outings, the pitcher has recorded at least six strikeouts in five outings. Grayson has been strong against Toronto hitters, striking out 10 batters in 43 at-bats. Expect the ace to continue those streaks and cover this player prop bet tonight.
Texas Rangers’ Corey Seager To Record A Hit (-220)
Detroit pitcher Tarik Skubal is slated to pitch tonight against the Rangers to start a three-game series against Texas. Skubal is 7-1 through May, tying for the fourth-best record in MLB this season.
While the ace has a strong track record against most of the hitters he faces on Monday, Texas shortstop Corey Seager has been able to hit Skubal effectively. In his career, Seager is 4-of-6 with a double against Skubal, so expect the hitter to record a hit against the Tigers tonight.
Detroit Tigers’ Tarik Skubal UNDER 18.5 Outs (+146)
As mentioned before, Skubal is one of the strongest pitchers in the majors this season, owning the second-best WHIP (0.82), the sixth-best ERA (2.01), and the 10th-most strikeouts (80) in MLB through May.
While Skubal is among the best in the game, his time on the mound is limited. In May, Skubal recorded more than six innings only twice. Expect the Tigers to continue to monitor his counts and keep the pitcher fresh, keeping him from pitching more than six innings on Monday to cover this player prop bet.
Colorado Rockies’ Ryan McMahon To Hit A Home Run (+430)
Colorado third baseman Ryan McMahon has been in a slump lately. During a seven-game road swing, McMahon has recorded just four hits in 21 at-bats while drawing three walks against the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago Cubs.
Now that the Rockies are returning home, expect McMahon to return to form. While he is 0-for-3 lifetime against Reds pitcher Andrew Abbott, bettors should select McMahon to record a home run tonight to snap his recent slump.
Los Angeles Angels’ Taylor Ward To Record RBI (+165)
The Angels are currently mired in an offensive slump, losing eight of their past 10 games. Tonight, the Los Angeles franchise hosts the San Diego Padres in an in-state three-game series. Taylor Ward – who leads the team in RBIs – has contributed just six runs over the past two weeks.
The Padres are sending second-year pro Matt Waldron to the mound, his first start against the Angels. After a horrid start to the season, Waldron has won his last two starts for a 3-5 record overall. While I expect Waldron to have a strong outing, bettors should expect Ward to at least record his first RBI of June against the Padres tonight.
