Bills @ Bears Over 38.5 (Unibet)

The Bills are 1-1 in the preseason after taking a 27-15 loss last week at Pittsburgh. Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky were able to have their way against the Bills’ defense. The Bills also allowed over 120 yards on the ground, most in part to the 62-yard touchdown run by Jaylen Warren.

Josh Allen played the 1st quarter and was efficient in his time going 7-10 for 64 yards. Matt Barkley came in after and was terrible. He went 7-12 for 93 yards and tossed 3 interceptions. Kyle Allen came in after and picked up a touchdown to make the final not look as bad as the game truly was for the Bills.

The Bears are also 1-1 on the preseason and lost their latest game. They had trouble against the Colts’ Sam Ehlinger who threw for 124 yards and ran for 60 yards and a score. Justin Fields watched the entire game while Tyson Bagent and Nathan Peterman had decent outings during their time under center.

Little-known receiver, Daurice Fountain had a nice game. He caught 5 of his 6 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown. That touchdown gave the Bears a 17-7 lead early in the 4th quarter. From there, Ehlinger led the comeback for the Colts.

Both teams have gone over this total for a combined 3 out of 4 games so far. With the offenses clicking a bit more later in the preseason, and the starters getting a bit more time, we expect both teams to put up over 17 points each.

Browns/Chiefs 1H: Over 19.5 (DraftKings)

Playing in the HOF game, the Browns are one of the teams that are getting a 4th preseason game. They have done a little bit of everything through their 1st 3 games as they sit 1-1-1. Dorian Thompson-Robinson continues to excel during this time on the field and last week, Kellen Mond did well despite completing just 50% of his passes.

Austin Watkins Jr., a wideout out of UAB was targeted 14 times and grabbed 7 receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown. The defense was strong and held the Eagles to just 2-10 on 3rd downs in the 18-18 tie.

After losing to the Saints 26-24, the Chiefs decimated the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-10. All 4 QBs that saw time finished with a QBR over 100. Mahomes finished 10-15 for 105 yards and a touchdown while Blaine Gabbert went 7-8 for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Shane Buechele was perfect going 10-10 for just over 100 yards. Rashee Rice was the main receiver and finished with 96 yards on 8 receptions. The defense held the Cards under 185 yards passing and just 3-13 on 3rd downs.

The Chiefs have totaled 24 and 27 points in the 1st halves of their previous games. With the way Dorian Thompson-Robinson has been playing and the lack of defense by the Chiefs, we believe the Browns will be able to contribute enough in the 1st half to help push this total over.

Cowboys +5 over Raiders (DraftKings)

The Raiders are 2-0 in the preseason and are primed to finish undefeated as they head into Dallas. In both games, they put up 34 points and allowed just a total of 24 points. Rookie, Aidan O’Connell, was spectacular last game against the Rams. He finished 11-18 for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns.

On defense, they added another score when Isaiah Pola-Mao picked off rookie Stetson Bennett and took it to the house. They held the Rams under 150 passing yards and just 75 yards on the ground. They have been the most dominate team this preseason.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, have been on the wrong end of the score in both of their games. Their latest was a 22-14 loss at Seattle. Cooper Rush was good in his time going 9-14 for 96 yards and a score. They allowed Seattle to gain over 350 yards of total offense and lost the turnover battle 1-0.

Deuce Vaughn picked up his 2nd touchdown in just as many games as he is likely to push for time during the season as the #3 running back.

This situation just seems too good to be true for the Raiders. Everything points to a Raiders easy victory here. Their offense has looked great and the defense has been just as good. The Cowboys have struggled on defense and do not seem ready to pick up a win. However, we are going to try to avoid the trap here and take the Cowboys to cover this one.

Broncos -5.5 over Rams (BetMGM)

The Rams lost to the Chargers 34-17 in the opener and oddly enough, they dropped their next one to Vegas by the same exact score. They could not contain rookie Adian O’Connell and his counterpart, Stetson Bennett, struggled throughout the game.

Ronnie Rivers was decent on the ground and finished with 42 yards on 8 carries while Davis Allen was the go-to man through the air and finished with 8 receptions for 53 yards on 8 targets.

Low-scoring losses have been the story for the Broncos through 2 preseason games so far. Leading 20-12 with under 6 minutes to play, the Broncos figured they had their 1st win last week. Unfortunately, they could not stop the comeback train that was driven by Trey Lance and the Niners.

They ultimately lost 21-20 as Jake Moody hit a game-winning field goal. Jarrett Stidham completed over 70% of his passes for Denver but could not get in the endzone. He was sacked twice but held onto the ball and did not commit a turnover. Shockingly, they won the turnover battle 3-0 and still found a way to lose.

Sean Payton and Russell Wilson are going to want to go out on a high note as they enter the regular season. The last thing they want to hear from the end of this one until the regular season opener is that they went 0-3 in the preseason and could not get the offense going. We are going to lay the points here in hopes the Broncos can get this one done by at least a touchdown difference.
