4 College Football Player Props for Friday, September 13: Johnson Should Fire on ‘Zona
Happy Friday to all! We hope you’re having an excellent week. If you’re a college football fan, the weekend is going to start well, as two great games are kicking off tonight. One of which is a ranked battle between Arizona and Kansas State, and the other, is an interesting matchup between Kansas and UNLV.
With both matchups in mind, we’ve put together our top two player props from each game from Underdog’s plethora of lines. Let’s get into it!
Quentin Skinner UNDER 49.5 Receiving Yards
We aren’t sure why Quentin Skinner’s receiving yardage line is so low, but we’ll take it. Kansas’ offense hasn’t looked particularly explosive to this point, and UNLV’s defense is no joke.
They’ve allowed a total of 21 combined points between their last two games, a sign that they know how to rein in opposing players. Skinner has had big games in the past, but he’s a streaky player at best.
Look for him to struggle against a superior UNLV secondary, going under his yardage line. Jalon Daniels hasn’t picked things up yet, and we’re not confident that this is the week for him to pop off.
Ricky White UNDER 75.5 Receiving Yards
This line is far too high for White. Yes, he had over 100 yards last week, but that was propelled by a massive, 55-yard gain.
Without that, he has a relatively pedestrian game. He only had two catches for 11 yards in the opening game of the season.
While we don’t anticipate him to have quite that poor of a showing, we are convinced that he’ll fall short of 76 yards, a tough metric for any receiver to hit.
Avery Johnson OVER 197.5 Passing Yards
K-State has a tough matchup with Arizona, but we anticipate this game to be something of a shootout. Both teams have put up big numbers this season, which could easily happen in this game.
Avery Johnson hasn’t needed to throw a ton for Kansas State to win, but we think they’ll need him to be special to pull out a win here.
We’d take the over on his passing total at 225.5, so we’ll unquestionably take the over at this low of a line.
Tetairoa McMillan OVER 96.5 Receiving Yards
This might seem like a high line for a receiver, but Tetairoa McMillan is a certified beast. He had over 300 yards in the first week of the season, beating up a poor UNM defense.
While his ceiling isn’t quite that high against K-State, he shouldn’t have a problem eclipsing the 100-yard mark.
He has a great connection with his QB, and considering he’s the undisputed top target in this offense, we’ll confidently take the over.
