4 College Football Player Prop Bets for Week 5

4 College Football Player Prop Bets for Week 5

It’s Week 5 of the 2022 college football season, and there are ranked matchups all across the country this weekend. The noon kickoff window is headlined by 7th-ranked Kentucky traveling to the Grove to face #14 Ole Miss in a battle of two unbeaten teams in the SEC. Kentucky has already overcome Florida in the Swamp this year and will look to contain a Rebels offense that is averaging 41 points per game.

The Saturday afternoon time slot features three ranked matchups in different conferences. Alabama has the first of three ranked road games this season against Arkansas, who last beat the Tide in 2006.

#16 Baylor hosts 9th-ranked Oklahoma State in Waco where Dave Aranda will attempt to beat Mike Gundy and the Cowboys for the second time. #22 Wake Forest looks to bounce back from a tough, close loss to Clemson in their road test against #23 Florida State.

The nightcap of this weekend takes place in the ACC, where top-ten ranked NC State and Clemson do battle a year after the Wolfpack’s first win in this series since 2011.

To supplement the action in these matchups, here are 4 college football player prop bets for Week 5.

Tanner Morgan OVER 207.5 Passing Yards

Best Available Odds: -115 at DraftKings

Morgan has averaged 235 passing yards in four previous matchups with the Boilermakers, and the unbeaten Gophers play host in this B1G battle on Saturday.

Minnesota’s offense begins with the rushing attack and Mohamed Ibrahim. However, the Gophers will likely need to give Morgan somewhere between 20-25 passing attempts minimum to keep pace with Purdue coach Jeff Brohm’s air-raid offense.

Spencer Petras OVER 140.5 Passing Yards

Best Available Odds: -114 at FanDuel

Michigan’s defense contained one of the more prolific passers in the conference, Taulia Tagovailoa, to 207 yards passing and knocked him out of the game briefly last week.

Petras has thrown for 131 yards per game in Iowa’s 3-1 start to the season, but that average has increased to 161.5 in his last two games. Iowa will be behind and will need to throw against a Wolverines team that can grind out games with the best of them.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson UNDER 42.5 Rushing Yards

Best Available Odds: -114 at FanDuel

Aside from a soft early season schedule, Thompson-Robinson is the main reason for the Bruins perfect record through four games. UCLA will host the Washington Huskies in Week 5, who allow opponents to gain just 2.6 yards per rush and score 19 points per game.

Washington’s record already includes victories against Michigan State and Stanford in Seattle. The Bruins won’t have much of a home-field atmosphere if the early part of the season is any indication, and we expect DTR and UCLA to struggle.

Will Levis UNDER 264.5 Passing Yards

Best Available Odds: 264.5 Currently at PrizePicks

Levis has amassed numbers in line with his first-round pick projection against the likes of Miami (OH), Youngstown State, and Northern Illinois. 10 of his 11 passing touchdowns came in those non-conference home games.

In Kentucky’s road win over Florida, Levis completed 54% of his passes for 202 yards and a touchdown while also throwing an interception. The Rebels’ defense allows 193 pass yards per game, and Levis will have his hands full in another true road game after some cupcake wins.

No sportsbooks have a line for this bet as of Thursday evening, but PrizePicks has it at 264.5. As long as the sportsbooks open Levis’s passing yards in the 240 or higher range, we love the Under.
