Monday Night Football brings a pair of 2-4 teams to Lincoln Financial Field, where the Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC. Dallas is a 4.5-point favorite with a total sitting around 44.5, and the quarterback matchup is the story. Dak Prescott is airing it out nearly every week, while Tanner McKee is trying to steer an offense that just lost its franchise passer.

That makes quarterback passing props the cleanest place to look this week. Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve with blood clots, DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are both out, and the Eagles’ pass protection has been shaky. Here are three QB passing bets we like for Monday night, with the reasoning laid out in plain English.

Dak Prescott OVER 265.5 Passing Yards

Prescott has quietly been one of the most reliable yardage producers in the league. He is averaging 273.2 passing yards per game on the season, and he has topped 250 yards in five straight games: 279 against Washington, 276 at Baltimore, 335 at Houston, 316 against Tampa Bay and 258 last week at Green Bay. Even in last week’s ugly 23-13 loss, when he threw two first-half interceptions, he still got to 258 because Dallas kept chucking it, finishing 34 of 54.

The matchup helps. Philadelphia ranks 26th in pass defense at 244.5 yards allowed per game, and the Eagles are near the bottom of the league in pressure rate, which gives Prescott time to find CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Dallas is also a road favorite with a defense that has struggled to get off the field, and a team that is trying to win a shootout throws a lot. The line moves around by book, from 265.5 up to 268.5 at some spots, so shop for the lowest number you can find.

Tanner McKee UNDER 195.5 Passing Yards

McKee wore the #16 jersey for his first start last week and finished 26 of 45 for 215 yards and one touchdown against Carolina. That number sounds fine until you remember how many throws it took to get there. This week, rookie Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper are expected to lead the receiver room, which is a steep drop in experience and separation ability.

There is also the question of how Philadelphia will try to win. With Saquon Barkley questionable but expected to return from a hamstring injury, the Eagles have every reason to lean on the ground game and keep the ball out of McKee’s hands. Dallas has given up the most rushing yards per game in the league, so the Eagles can run on them. Sportsbooks have this prop anywhere from the low 190s to the low 210s depending on the shop, so the 195.5 number is on the lower end of that range. We still prefer the under at that price, because a run-heavy script and a thin receiver group point to a modest passing total.

Tanner McKee UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

This is the safest of the three. McKee threw one touchdown pass last week, and the Eagles’ offense is last in the league in yards per play at 4.4. Moving the ball has been a grind, and the offense has been stuck in neutral for weeks. The under on 1.5 touchdown passes is priced around minus 180 to minus 188 at major books, which tells you the market expects exactly what we do.

Think about how a touchdown pass has to happen here: McKee needs two scoring throws against a Dallas secondary that has allowed plenty of yards, but without his top two wideouts. Philadelphia is also likely to lean on Barkley near the goal line if he plays. Even if the Eagles score twice, one of those scores can easily come on the ground. The price is steep, so this one works best as a building block in a parlay or as a confident single for bettors who like to grind out small wins.

The Quarterback Props Card for MNF

Dallas has a quarterback who keeps hitting his yardage number and a pass defense across the field that has not been able to slow anyone down. Philadelphia has a first-year starter with a depleted group of pass catchers and an offense that is struggling to move the chains. Before placing any of these bets, check the latest lines at your sportsbook, since numbers shift throughout the day.
