3 Player Prop Bets for College Football Week 7

Week 7 offers a bevy of intriguing battles within conference play as well as a loaded group of ranked matchups including two games between top 10 teams. College Gameday is in Knoxville, TN once again where the #6 Volunteers host the third-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. The Vols are 7-point home dogs with Bryce Young’s status for the Tide uncertain.

Meanwhile, in Big Ten country, the #10 Penn State Nittany Lions will enter the Big House to face a top-5 Michigan team as a 7-point underdog themselves. The polls could look significantly different next week based on the results of these and other key games across the country.

Our CFB player prop best bets went 3-0 in Week 6, meaning we’re on a 6-1 heater over the past two weeks. Spencer Petras and the Iowa Hawkeye offense did not score a touchdown against Illinois, and the running back duo of UCLA’s Zach Charbonnet and Texas’ Bijan Robinson both far and away went over their rushing yard totals in big victories for their teams. We head into Week 7 with a lot of opportunities to continue these winning ways.

Michael Penix Jr. OVER 2.5 Passing Touchdowns

Best Available Odds: -104 at FanDuel

The Arizona Wildcat defense has been a vulnerable bunch for the last decade or so, and this year is no different. On paper, they have allowed much more damage to be done on the ground than through the air.

However, when digging deeper we see games against Washington State and Cal where they allowed seven touchdown passes combined. Mississippi State and Washington are both top-five passing offenses in the FBS, and we expect this game to mirror the September 10 rout that the Bulldogs put on the Wildcats.

Jadyn Ott OVER 97.5 Rushing Yards

Best Available Odds: -114 at FanDuel

Colorado has the unique distinction of having the worst rushing defense in the entire United States of America. Well, technically it’s just the FBS, but the point stands. The Buffs allow opposing teams to average 6.7 yards per carry against them, adding up to 295 yards rushing allowed per game.

Jadyn Ott, as a true freshman, leads the Golden Bears in rushing attempts by a wide margin and is averaging 7.4 yards per carry himself. He’s racked up 48 carries in Cal’s last three games and recently steamrolled Arizona with 274 yards on 19 carries. He will feast in this PAC 12 midseason matchup.

Michael Redding III UNDER 40.5 Receiving Yards

Best Available Odds: -119 at Caesars

Miami regained some of their confidence around a projected first-round quarterback prospect and their passing game in their loss to North Carolina last week. Receiver Michael Redding III had his best game of the season by catching four passes for 50 yards.

The Tar Heels, notably, allow the eighth-most pass yards per game in the FBS. This was Redding’s first game with more than three catches this season. The Hokies allow 95 yards per game less through the air than the Tar Heels and get the Hurricanes at home in this Week 7 ACC matchup.

We expect a regression from the Miami offense after the high of getting to face a defense like North Carolina’s. Even with VT in a state of rebuilding, they should prevent Redding from getting to this number.
