3 NFL Player Props for Sunday, October 27: Saquon Will Run Wild!

3 NFL Player Props for Sunday, October 27

Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season started with a back-and-forth game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Rams. It looked like it was anyone’s game in the first half, but the Rams pulled it off when it mattered most.

This game featured several dominant performances, including great games from Justin Jefferson, Kyren Williams, Cooper Kupp, and Puka Nacua.

As we prepare for the rest of Week 8, we’re hoping for games with similar outcomes, especially targeting massive performances from some of the game’s biggest stars. We’ve taken a dive into Underdog’s player props for the slate, and we’re excited to talk about our projections for this week.

Who will put up the most highlights? Who will disappoint us? Let’s get into it!

Jordan Love OVER 258.5 Passing Yards

The Green Bay Packers are taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars this week in a very favorable matchup for them. The Jaguars’ defense is one of the worst in the league, and they’re a team with little hope of a playoff berth given their slow start to the season.

With that in mind, we’re excited to watch Jordan Love pick this defense apart, hoping he continues this hot streak. Love has looked great since he came back from injury, and this game is a great opportunity for him to flex his competitive muscle and throw for at least 259 yards, if not closer to 300.

Jameis Winston OVER 36 Passing Attempts

Deshaun Watson is officially out with an Achilles injury, forcing the Cleveland Browns to pivot to their backup QB. Thankfully for Browns fans, their backup is Jameis Winston, a player that many people were calling to be the starter, even when Watson was not injured.

They’ll get a chance to watch him in full-time action this week against the Baltimore Ravens. We aren’t ready to predict how many yards Jameis will put up, or how many touchdowns he’ll throw, but we are more than willing to bet that he’ll attempt at least 36 passes.

Winston is known to be something of a gun-slinger, and since this is a divisional game, he’ll be trying extra hard to will his team to victory. We wouldn’t be surprised if he attempted 42+ passes in this one, sometimes trying to fit a square peg into a round hole and making mistakes.

Saquon Barkley OVER 81.5 Rushing Yards

Adding Saquon Barkley to their offense was a brilliant move for the Philadelphia Eagles. Not only is Barkley healthy, but he’s looking like the dominant player he was early on in his career.

The Eagles have benefitted greatly from having him on the roster, and he’s certainly stepped up to be a workhorse back when needed, especially since Jalen Hurts isn’t as effective of a rusher as he was last year.

He’s facing off a relatively poor Cincinnati Bengals rush defense this week, a team that allows more than 136 yards per game to opposing running backs. Look for Barkley to have a field day against them, easily going over his line of 81.5 yards.
