3 MLB Strikeout Props to Back on June 9, 2026

Fifteen games on the Tuesday slate and three starting pitchers are sitting on strikeout lines that the numbers say are beatable -- here are tonight's best K props.
Dylan Cease pitching for the Toronto Blue Jays

Fifteen games on the Tuesday slate and the strikeout market is wide open. Three pitchers are sitting on lines that the numbers say are beatable, and if you’re looking for a starting point with MLB player props, strikeout bets are one of the cleanest wagers in baseball.

A strikeout prop is simple: the sportsbook sets a total for how many batters a starting pitcher will strike out, and you bet whether he goes over or under that number. Tonight, three arms stand out as strong overs, and we’ve got the stats to back it up.

Dylan Cease Has Turned Rogers Centre Into a Strikeout Factory

Dylan Cease signed a seven-year, $210 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays this past offseason, and he has looked every bit worth it. Through 11 starts in 2026, Cease carries a 3.05 ERA and 92 strikeouts across 62 innings. That works out to a staggering 13.4 strikeouts per nine innings, second-best in the American League.

His last three starts have produced 8, 9, and 9 strikeouts, meaning he has cleared the 6.5 line in each of them. Tonight he faces the Philadelphia Phillies, who are batting .229 with a team OPS under .700 this season. That is a contact-suppressed lineup running into one of the most dominant strikeout arms in the majors. The line is set at over 6.5, and at near even money this is one of the better values on the board.

Cease’s slider is the engine here. He has been generating elite swing-and-miss rates all season, and the Phillies do not have the type of lineup that punishes pitchers who live off breaking balls in the zone. Back Cease to keep punching hitters out in front of his home crowd.

Payton Tolle Is Ascending at Exactly the Right Time

Payton Tolle is one of the better stories in baseball right now. The 23-year-old Boston Red Sox lefty started the year at Triple-A Worcester before earning his spot in the rotation, and he has not looked back. Through eight 2026 starts he owns a 2.28 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP, and 51 strikeouts in 47.1 innings, good for a 9.7 K/9 rate.

What makes tonight especially compelling is the trajectory. His last three starts have produced 5, 7, and 9 strikeouts in that order — a clear ascending pattern. He’s heading to Tropicana Field, a dome that suppresses contact and historically plays well for strikeout pitchers. The Tampa Bay Rays lineup has been particularly vulnerable against left-handed pitching of late, posting a .129 batting average versus lefties over their last five games.

The line is set at over 5.5 Ks at -122. Given the trend line and the environment, Tolle figures to cross that threshold for the fourth consecutive start. He looks like a confident play at Tropicana tonight.

Chase Burns Is the Clearest Strikeout Lock on the Board

Chase Burns may be the best strikeout bet in baseball right now. The 23-year-old Cincinnati Reds right-hander is running a 10.4 K/9 rate in 2026 and has cleared the 6.5 strikeout line in each of his last three starts, posting 9, 8, and 9 Ks. He is going to Petco Park in San Diego tonight, one of the most pitcher-friendly venues in the sport with a 0.92 home run park factor.

The matchup could not be more favorable. San Diego carries a .644 team OPS this season, ranking among the weakest offensive units in the majors. Burns attacks hitters with elite velocity and a wipeout slider that generates high whiff rates regardless of matchup. When you combine his stuff, his recent form, and the park environment, this is as close to a sure thing as MLB props offer.

The line is set at over 6.5 Ks at -110, and that price feels like found money given his last three outings. This is the anchor pick of the night.

Lock These Three Strikeout Props In Tonight

The data all points the same direction on Tuesday: these three starting pitchers are in favorable matchups with the strikeout rates and recent form to back them up. Here is the full summary heading into game time.

  • Dylan Cease OVER 6.5 Strikeouts vs Philadelphia Phillies (check your book for current price)
  • Payton Tolle OVER 5.5 Strikeouts vs Tampa Bay Rays (-122)
  • Chase Burns OVER 6.5 Strikeouts vs San Diego Padres (-110)

The slate is full tonight and there are props to dig into everywhere, but these three K overs represent the clearest edges on the board. Do your research, shop for the best line at your sportsbook, and good luck.
