2024 NFL Draft: 4 Prop Bets to Consider Making
We finally made it! The NFL Draft is tonight, and we couldn’t be more excited. Round 1 of the NFL Draft is one of the best nights in sports throughout the year. It’s truly chaotic, and while fans and analysts might think they have a finger on the pulse of what’s going to happen, chances are, we’re all wrong.
That’s not going to stop us from trying to predict tonight’s future, though! After watching college ball last year and trying to decipher through all of the noise and rumors, we’ve put together our favorite bets for the draft tonight, all of them can be found on FanDuel Sportsbook.
These are fun bets that make the draft a bit more fun, at least in our eyes. Without further adieu, let’s get into it!
Top 3 Overall Picks Exact Order: Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye (-230)
We wanted to start the night with a (hopefully) sweat-free bet that could be a great piece to a parlay. Everybody knows that Caleb Williams is a near lock to go to the Chicago Bears, and the hype surrounding Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders also seems like a pretty sure thing. The real wild card is Drake Maye.
There has been some buzz about the New England Patriots being more excited about J.J. McCarthy than Maye, but we’re not buying it. These three guys have been seen as the top three in the class for months, and we’re not going to shy away from that analysis on the morning of the draft.
Joe Alt to be the No. 5 Overall Pick (+400)
Alt has the fourth-best odds of being taken fifth overall, which is kind of surprising to us. Alt is a clear winner who is commonly viewed as the best offensive tackle in the class, and he could be a home run for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Protecting Justin Herbert should be the team’s No. 1 priority, and Alt could certainly help do that.
Denver Broncos To Draft Either Bo Nix OR Michael Penix Jr. (+135)
We were a bit surprised to see these odds at plus money. It’s no secret that the Broncos are in desperate need of a QB after losing Russell Wilson, and we anticipate that Nix or Penix will be waiting for them.
They’ll have to decide if this is the year to take a stab at a QB, or if they’ll roll with Zach Wilson as their starter in 2024 and try again in 2025 if he doesn’t pan out. At +135 odds, however, we’re willing to bet that they’ll try out either Nix or Penix.
Xavier Worthy’s Draft Position OVER 28.5 (+132)
Similar to the Broncos’ prop above, we really like this one for Xavier Worthy. Worthy did break the combine record for the 40-yard dash, but we don’t expect him to go earlier than the last few picks of the first round.
We are buying into the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs are looking for a speedster receiver, and Worthy fits that bill at pick 32, which would hit the over on this prop.
