Week 11 DraftKings and FanDuel CFB DFS Picks

After looking at the team implied totals for the week, you have to love the expected increased production for both Florida and Ohio State, but both teams spread out the production so evenly it’s hard to really target anyone in those games. I’m going to load up on SMU’s passing attack, along with what I consider to be the two best players and highest ceilings in the slate, then slot in value picks around them.

Tua Tagovailoa

DraftKings Salary – $7,100 | FanDuel Salary – $–
This was an immediate pick, I didn’t even think twice about putting Tua at the top of this article. For those that have not already seen the video of Tua practicing, he looks absolutely fine in practice and you have to assume once the adrenaline of this game kicks in the ankle will be the last thing on his mind.

This LSU defense is beatable, to say the least. They gave up a combined 700 yards and 7 touchdowns in their two big games (Texas and Florida) this season. The group last season was clearly much more dominant, and Tua put up 30 DraftKings points in Baton Rouge last year.

Shane Buechele

DraftKings Salary – $6,300 | FanDuel Salary – $8,300
As I mentioned in the open, I absolutely love the SMU passing attack here. To be fair, ECU gives up plenty of production on the ground as well, but a Buechele/Proche/Rice stack looks like a can’t miss way to start out week 11 lineups. ECU gave up an opponent QB rating of 154 last season and are giving up a QB rating of 147 this year. While Buechele’s upside is limited by his lack of rushing numbers, he does have 2 rushing TD’s on the season and has hit 36 DraftKings points in 2 of his last 3 games.

Cam Akers

DraftKings Salary – $7,800 | FanDuel Salary – $9,500
If we are paying up for two position players in this slate they are going to be Cam Akers and James Proche. Both guys have huge ceilings and high floors. FSU will play its first game without Willie Taggart against a Boston College defense that is giving up a ton of offensive production this season. BC is 3rd to last in the entire FBS in total yardage, giving up 498 yards per game, 182 of which come on the ground. Akers has 4 37+ point games so far this season and that number will climb to 5 after this week 11 matchup.

SaRodorick Thompson

DraftKings Salary – $5,900 | FanDuel Salary – $–
Thompson has seen a massive bump in workload in the past month and has 69 total touches in the last three weeks. That added work should result in plenty of fantasy production in this matchup with a West Virginia defense that is giving up 180 rushing yards per game on the season. In a game with one of the higher totals in the slate, Thompson’s snap count should remain high with Armand Shyne out.

James Proche

DraftKings Salary – $4,000 | FanDuel Salary – $6,400
Proche has scored at least 21.5 DraftKings points in 6 straight games and has caught at least 7 passes in all but one of his starts this season. He has the highest non-QB floor in the slate, and at $7,300 is underpriced on DraftKings. I think he continues to hit double-digit receptions until Reggie Roberson returns later this season.

C.J. Johnson

DraftKings Salary – $7,600 | FanDuel Salary – $9,600
ECU always seems to have a guy that goes on some weird tear every single season, and clearly Johnson is that dude for 2019. Coming off of 12 catches for 283 yards and a touchdown against Cinci, I would say we have to include C.J. Johnson in our week 11 picks. He now has 33/574/3 in his last four games, and the Pirates will clearly be playing from behind for the majority of this game.

Sam James

DraftKings Salary – $7,600 | FanDuel Salary – $9,600
James is another receiver that relies on a high volume of targets to reach value and should hit that number thanks to injuries around him. With T.J. Simmons and Sean Ryan both out this week, and the WVU backfield beat up as well, James could see a season-high number of targets, and they couldn’t come in a better spot. Texas Tech is giving up as much production as anyone in the Big 12, allowing 302 passing YPG on the season and 380+ passing YPG over their last three.

Rashee Rice

DraftKings Salary – $4,200 | FanDuel Salary – $8,500
While we saw a bump in targets for both Proche and tight end Granson last week, it is Rice that is the clear beneficiary from the Roberson injury. The Freshman was already starting to come on, but put up career highs in his first game without Roberson in week 10. Considering the 7 catches for 122 yards came against a much tougher Memphis defense, we think he can repeat that success against ECU this week.
